Wild and Willing, autumn is here!

Hi ladies!

Today I´ve got my NOTD of last tuesday for you. This is a polish I actually sold because I thought it was boring. Just a few days after I sold it, I saw swatches of someone layering it over black and I was blown away. How could I have been so stupid to sell it? So I bought it again...

It actually looks like Orly Space Cadet! Probably layering it over purple would make it even more look like it. I had a hard time capturing it on camera unfortunately. But here are the pics. 1 coat Nubar Noir + 2 coats Color Club Wild and Willing.

This is definitely autumn! It´s brown, gold, bronze, green, orange, sometimes a bit dark pink. Gorgeous!

And yes, I know, I have a smudge, I was clumsy again.

Do you like Wild and Willing on its own? What do you think of this layering?

Have a great day!

LPAD suede + konad

Hi again!

This morning I showed you Lincoln Park After Dark suede. I thought I´d show you this with a konad as well. A while ago I ordered China Glaze Devotion, because I thought it was a lilac colored polish, which I don´t have yet for stamping. Well, the lilac doesn´t really show, it looks silver to me.

And here are the pics taken in different light.

That´s all for today. Unless I´ll reach my 50 followers today, because then I´ll be back with my giveaway, haha.

I wish you all a pleasant day and hope to see you back here tomorrow for another nice polish.

Take care,
Miranda

OPI suede Lincoln Park After Dark

Hello

Last sunday I was in a lot of hurry. And what do we use when we´re in a hurry? Yes, a suede polish. Well, at least I do :P
This manicure took me 15 minutes including basecoat, topcoat and clean up. That´s fast! Normally it takes me about 25 minutes depending on how many coats it needs.
Suede polishes just dry directly, so you have to work fast otherwise you ruin it.

So here we have OPI Lincoln Park After Dark suede, 2 coats, with topcoat, since I don´t like matte finish, in different light.

Beautiful eggplant purple shade don´t you think? I like it very much!

Thanks for watching!

An older Halloween polish plus a flakie/glitter mix

Goodmorning!

Today another one from my swatching session. I used Milani spellbinding as my base color. It´s from last years Halloween collection and still availbale at http://www.cherryculture.com/ (they ship internationally)
It´s a close dupe to ChG lubu heels, but the red glitter is a little more visible. Still not enough in my opinion. It´s not visible anymore as soon as there´s a distance of more than 1 meter. Why bother putting the glitter in it anyway... :P

This is what it looks like on it´s own, 2 coats.
Maybe it´s a good idea to enlarge the picture to find the glitter

After this I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors red ocean, which is a light red jelly base with glitter and flakies.

As you can see I had a hard time capturing the flakies and glitter. Sorry.

Some of the Sinful ocean glitter/flakies are also still available on http://www.cherryculture.com/

This is a nice combination, but I´m not completely blown away by it. What do you think of this mani?

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze C-c-courage

Hello!

I can´t believe it´s monday again. The weeks just pass by so quick, I can´t believe it! I remember I was longing for summer and now autumn has started already. Autumn and winter are definitely not my favorite time of the year. I feel best when it´s warm, sunny and dry. Sometimes I seriously consider moving to a warmer country, where it´s summer all year long. Wouldn´t that be great?!

Well, let´s move on to a swatch I did recently. It´s glitter and it´s purple and it´s been on my untrieds list way too long! I will wear this as a NOTD very soon.
Application was beyond expectation. I seriously thought I would have some trouble with this one, but it was smooth and a very nice formula. And only 2 coats needed for opacity.

Ladies, I present to you: China Glaze C-c-courage

It´s a bit messy here and there since I´m not that neat, especially not with just swatches.

I really like this color. And as said before, it went on way easier than expected.

That´s it for now. Hope you´ve enjoyed reading and watching.

Bye bye!

Nfu Oh 38 over OPI ds Magic

Goodmorning!!

I´ve got something for you today that I really like! You know how most people use green/blue flakies over a blue shade? Well, I thought it would be nice to put orange/green/yellow flakies over blue for a change.

For the base color I used OPI ds Magic, which is a very beautiful sparkly blue shade. In the bottle you see a purple duochrome, but honestly, I can´t find it on my nails. I did have some problems with application, because I´m clumsy and can´t really handle the pro wide brush, so more cleaning up than I usely need. But the formula is great! Not runny at all and smooth. 2 coats for full coverage.
I did make pictures of it, but when I put it on the computer, I found out the pictures were no good, so I´m not showing you those.

After DS Magic I used 1 coat of Nfu Oh 38 flakies. They are awesome! If you don´t have that, here´s a few other dupes you can use: Sally Hansen hidden treasure, Gosh rainbow, Nubar 2010. All the same sort of flakies.

And now, on to the pictures.

I love how this flashes gold, green, yellow, orange, red and pink.

Nfu Oh is definitely one of my favorite brands. I haven´t showed much of them, but I promiss to do that soon.

Take care,
Miranda

Paradoxal with something extra

Hi ladies!

As promissed I´m showing you my solution to the hidden purple shimmer of Chanel Paradoxal. I can´t stand it when a shimmer hardly shows up. A few weeks ago I ordered two of the CND effects. One of them is Violet Shimmer. I thought it would be a nice extra for Paradoxal.

That´s better, don´t you think? At least now can actually see the purple shimmer. I think it´s a success.

That´s it for today. Hope you´ll all have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by and till tomorrow!

Orly It´s Not Rocket Sience

Goodmorning!!

Here´s one of th Cosmix I have been doubting about for quite some time. But each time I saw a swatch I was getting more and more certain I had to have this. Carla from www.nailpolishfashion.nl had this listed to swap, so I decided to go for it.
Ans still I´m not sure it´s my color, haha. It looks gorgeous, but in the sun it´s definitely a strange color. Normally most colors look better in direct sunlight, this one gets worse in my opinion. So the pics I´m showing you are not taken in direct sunlight.

I used 2 coats, but I´m sure it´s even better with a third coat.

I mostly like it the way it looks in the first picture, that is just totally awesome!!

What do you think about this color? Is it something you would wear? And which one is you favorite from the Orly Cosmix collection?

Have a great day!!

Chanel Paradoxal

Hi ladies!

Today I´ve got my very first Chanel to show you. After seeing lots of swatches I knew I just had to have this one. My wallet is crying, but for once it just didn´t bother me.

So on wednesday night I used this polish. When applying I already noticed it was a lot darker than I expected it to be. And I didn´t see the purple shimmer at all. But I was sure I would see it in daylight, no doubt about it. And I was wrong... you hardly ever see the purple shimmer... That´s a huge disappointment for me. Now it´s just kind of a brown creme, not even taupe. It´s too dark to be a taupe in my opinion. Not all that impressive. I have thought of a sollution for that, I will show you that somewhere this weekend. So make sure you  don´t miss it.

But for now I can only show you the pictures of Chanel Paradoxal by itself. I tried my best to catch some of the purple shimmer. Application was good, and it´s 2 coats on the pictures.

The last picture is what you see most of the time.

What do you think of Paradoxal? Is it just that some people can make great pictures? Do you own it yourself? And do you think it was worth the money?

Make sure to visit me this weekend to see what I came up with to make this as pretty as I expected it to be.

Have a great day!

Zoya Kotori versus OPI Midnight Blue Glitter

Hi ladies!

Today I´ve got a comparison for you. Zoya Kotori and OPI Midnight Blue Glitter looked quite similar in their bottles. Same dark grey base with blue glitter, although the glitter in Kotori is much a brighter blue. When I applied them, it was quite obvious they are not so close at all. The first layer was kind of the same, but after that, the differences showed up with each coat. Midnight Blue Glitter has much less glitter and a silver shimmer, while Kotori is packed with glitter.

They are both quite sheer. Next time I would probably layer them, but not over black, since I think the dark grey base is pretty awesome, so would use a grey as a base.

In the pictures I used 4(!!) coats of Midnight Blue Glitter and 3 coats of Kotori.
Index and middle are Midnight Blue Glitter. Ring and pinkie are Kotori.

I like the OPI better, it´s just gorgeous! Much better than I thought when I put it on my wheel. I wish it would be easier to photograph this, but unfortunately it didn´t show up as great as it is.

Take care,
Miranda

Konad spam

Hello!!

Today I just wasn´t ready to take of Ozotic 505. Normally I always do that after a day, but it was still perfect and I couldn´t get enough of all the amazing colors.

So for today I decided to give you some Konad spam. This is all stuff I did over the past year. Some are ok, some are horrible, haha, but I wanted to show you anyway.

Well, that´s all for today. I do have something very nice planned for tomorrow, I´m keeping my fingers crossed for good pictures :P

Bye!

Ozotic 505, very pic heavy, because it deserves it!

Goodmorning ladies!

I don´t even know how I can describe to you how awesome my NOTD is. It´s amazing!! It´s green, teal, blue, purple, light purple, pink, it´s got it all! WOW!

I´ve been waiting for the sun to come out to make the best pictures, but again, no sun today. So I made some pictures in regular daylight and some in artificial light. I shot about 100 pictures and these are the ones I chose to show you.

First up is a picture of Bourjois Blue Violet, which I used as my base.

And now, take your time, sit back and relax and enjoy the awesomeness of Ozotic 505.

Gorgeous right? I totally love it!!

You all have a great day!! And hop to see you back here tomorrow!
