Deborah Lippmann Lady Sings The Blues

Goodmorning ladies!

Todays polish is one I´ve already showed you in a comparison recently. Of course I wanted to wear this as a NOTD as soon as possible, so about a week and a half ago I grapped it out of my helmer and started my manicure. I can´t believe how pretty this is. Eventhough it is expensive, it is worth every penny. And the application is great too! Really opaque as well, only needed 1 thick coat. With some larger glitter polishes you really have to make an efford to get the glitter out of the bottle, this one had no issues at all.

Here she is: Lady Sings The Blues, a dark blue/navy polish with silver glitter and hex glitter

I don´t know why my cuticles look bad again. Since I started using Zoya Remove+ it really got better. Well, just enjoy the gorgeous polish and don´t get distracted by the fact that I don´t know how to edit pictures and remove the horrible cuticles :P

Enjoy your day!

Sephora by OPI Teal We Meet Again

Hi!

Well, todays polish just doesn´t need a lot of talking. It´s teal like the name suggests and it is opaque in 2 coats.

First pic under a lamp and the second in sun light. The true color is somewhere in between these 2.

I think it is a bit boring for my taste, but I do like the color. This would be a great base to do some stamping or use a nice layering polish.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sephora by OPI It´s Bouquet With Me

Hi ladies!

A few days ago I showed you Kleancolor Fairy Lover, which seemd like a nice base for $OPI It´s Bouquet With Me, so I applied that on top. IBWM is a purple, silver, holo glitter. Beauty!! Application and drying time were good, no complaints there.

For this mani I used 2 coats of It´s Bouquet With Me over Fairy Lover. First 2 bottle pics, 1 in sun light and 1 in regular daylight.

I absolutely love this. It would also be great without base (probably 4 coats) or as an accent nail.
Do you like this?

Hope you enjoyed this, till tomorrow!

Claire´s Twinkle Twinkle

Hello ladies!

Claire´s Twinkle Twinkle is a blue jelly with blue glitter. Application was nice and it needed 3 coats. The color in the picture isn´t totally color accurate, it´s actually a bit brighter, even towards neon blue. Since I don´t really like too bright colors, I think I might add some dark blue to this or something, not sure yet.

Let´s have a look to find out what you think.

Strange, I had 4 pictures of this one, but can´t seem to find the other 2 on my computer anymore.

It´s actually a pretty nice color, don´t you agree? But it just isn´t me...

Have a nice day!

I did it! My very first franken!!

Hi ladies!

I´m so proud to present my very first franken!!
Last week AmyGrace showed Nubar Reclaim, which I also have and love, but I still wanted a dark green holo. So that´s what I commented on her post and she said I can always try to franken it. I thought it would be a good idea with China Glaze Jolly Holly and some silver/clear holo polish, but she thought Jolly Holly would be too pigmented. I guess she´s right. So I started with a jelly green, Finger Paints Mistletoe Mischief. Then I wanted to put some Gosh Holographic in it, but it´s too thick and won´t come out of the bottle... so I pulled ChG OMG out of the helmer. I wasn´t totally happy with the result, so I added some ChG Jolly Holly and quite some OPI ds Shimmer and a bit of Lippmann Don´t Tell Mama.

And here´s the result. Only 2 coats and it is so shiny, doesn´t need topcoat at all. And also dried fast.

It really is a lot more holo than the pictures show, there´s a real rainbow going on at my nails, but I just don´t have the camera to capture that.

I did try to franken something before, but it became a total failure, it never even made it to a swatch on my nails, but I´m pretty satisfied about this one.

It´s not perfect yet, it needs a bit more holo (the more the better :P), but with too much holo it gets too light, so I will have to think of a solution for that, because I´d also like to see it a bit darker green. But first I have to use some of the bottle, because it´s full now, haha.

What do you guys think? Was my first franken a success? Or total fail?

Thanks for watching!

Color Club Alias and Good Luck to my daughter

Warning! Picture heavy post :-)

Hello!

When I first saw the promo pics of the new Color Club collection I was soooo excited!! But soon swatches showed up and I wasn´t that wowed by them at all. I kind of felt disappointed. But there was one I still thought was pretty interesting so I got it.

Color Club Alias is a purple with green/gold duochrome glitter. Gorgeous! Application was fine, opacity not too good, it needed 3 coats. But hey, it´s an awesome color and a cheap brand, so I don´t really mind.

Picture time! Bottle pic first.

Isn´t this just awesome? I most certainly think so!

And since my daughter has another tournament today for rythmic gymnastics I wanted to show you a few pictures of her and hope this will bring some luck.

Have a great weekend!

Kleanolor Fairy Lover

Hi there!

I´d first like to welcome all my new followers. Over 70 new readers in 3 days, wow! Hope you´ll enjoy my blog!
The polish I´m showing you today is actually purple in the bottle with blue micro glitter. But on the nail you mostly see blue and that´s not only in the pictures but also in real life. In direct sunlight you can only see a bit of purple.
The polish dries a bit matte, so it needs topcoat (unless you are a matte lover of course). I didn´t use TC in this swatch though, but it wasn´t totally dry when I made pictures either.

The formula and application was good! Opaque in 1 thick coat. Great! I always like that.

Here are the pictures.

It is a pretty color. And I really want more Kleancolor polishes!! They are sold on eBay, but I can´t find enough swatches to make a choice.

Enjoy your day!

Sally Hansen Night Lights

Goodmorning ladies!

Todays polish is a sheer black with holographic micro glitter. And when I say sheer, I really mean sheer, haha. It needed to 4 coats. You could get away with 3 for a dark grey finish.

You all know I have trouble catching holo glitter on camera, and this one was nog exception unfortunately. But here are my pictures anyway.

In the sun this really sparkles! I like it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gosh Gasoline

Hello

I thought it was about time I´d show you Gosh Gasoline since I am a total purple lover and this is a brand which is actually sold here in stores. Although I have to confess that I hardly ever buy any polish in stores. Whenever I look around in drugstores I just can´t believe how expensive most stuff is. The only 2 brands that are really cheap are Essence and Catrice, but I don´t really like either of them. Essence has a bad formula and the bottles are so small and Catrice just doesn´t have amazing colors in my opinion. Gosh has a few nice colors, but come on, 7 euro for 10ml!! That really is ridiculous, especially since they don´t have a great formula or a huge variety in shades. Other brands like Herome and Koh are also way overpriced. So I almost always shop online.

But today I´ve got Gasonline for you. Since this is totally sheer and I guess it needs about 4 coats to be opaque and then it just doesn´t dry, I used 1 coat of OPI Funky Dunkey first. After this I applied 2 coats of Gasoline and a topcoat. I really like the result!

What do you think? Looks nice huh? The great purple with blue glitter/shimmer. The second picture isn´t all that great, but I liked how you can the gorgeous blue sparkles.

Thanks for watching!

CND Crimson Sparkle

Goodmorning!

Something simple today. You all know the CND effects, but they always seem to be used as a layering polish. Why not use it on its own? Ok, it doesn't give a lot of color, haha, but some days I don't mind.

So here we have CND Crimson Sparkle, 2 coats, over my bare nails (which are a little orange...)

I think this is nice for a change and it is work appropriate.

Have a great day!

Gosh Holographic for stamping!

Hi ladies!

Today I've got some konad for you with one of my favorite patterns (together with the rose pattern). For my base color I used China Glaze Branding Iron. This is a deep dark red, very pretty. I'm not really into red at all, but this very deep shade I like very much. And opaque in just 1 coat. Win!
For stamping I used Gosh Holographic. I have tried China Glaze OMG for stamping before, but I wasn't all that impressed. Holographic is just a lot more holo so a lot better for stamping too.

Here are the pictures.

On the first pic (daylight with a little bit of sun) the holo is really visible. And you can also see I didn't use topcoat, haha. This was the morning after I applied it and you can see that some part of the stamp was gone. You should definitely enlarge the first pic.
The second was taken right after I applied it and under a lamp.

And here's a pic of Branding Iron on its own

Well, that's all for today. Thank you for stopping by!

LeChat Simply You

Hi ladies!

I want to start with apologizing to all of you. I promised you a giveaway and it's still not here. The problem is that I ordered something at Transdesign which actually was here on wednesday, but I wasn't at home to receive the package. A while ago the big post office closed and package that can't be delivered go to a super markete where you can pick them up. The thing is that the ladies who work there make a mess of all the packages and never seem to find anything. They say it's the mistake of the delivery guy, but I never had trouble when they still brought the packages to the post office, so I'm sure it's the unfriendly and messy ladies from the supermarket who are to blame. Well, I am sorry it takes so long, but at least you know now why. Please be patient, hopefully I'll have it listed on monday.

Today I´ve got something very special. Well, that means, in my opinion it is special. I had never heard about this brand (LeChat). The color can be described best as Urban Decay Bruise, but instead of the green shimmer, it is a blue shimmer. And since I didn´t have anything like that in my stash yet and also not the brand, it is special to me. Thanks Cat for getting me this!

It is a bit sheer though and probably would be better with an extra layer, but I was afraid it would get too dark then, so I decided to be satisfied with 3 coats. It dried really really fast and the formula wasn´t runny, so I´m happy, eventhough it´s a 3 coater.

Here she is. First 2 pictures in artificial light, second 2 pics in daylight (no sun)

So, it is a wine red/purple color with a blue flash. Pretty awesome, right?!

Do any of you know any other cool colors from LeChat that I should get? And maybe an idea what the best place is to get them from?

Thanks for watching and enjoy your weekend!

Finger Paints Hue Rang + flakies

Hi guys!

Remember I showed you Hue Rang a few days ago? Well, you know I almost always try to do something extra with a polish with a topcoat when I just don´t have to time to change my entire mani. So my good pal Gosh Rainbow had to do the trick once again.

Here are the pictures of 1 coat Hue Rang and 1 coat Rainbow.

I really like the combo of the purple/lavender shade and the rainbow flakies! This will be on re-run this summer :-)

Thanks for stopping by!

Sephora by OPI Looks Like Rain Dear

Goodmorning!

When Carla asked if any of the ladies on a dutch nail board wanted to do a grouporder for Sephora by OPI polishes, I immediately emailed her. Great!! Thank you so much Carla for doing this!
I ordered 4 of them and they are awesome!
Today I´m showing you Looks Like Rain Dear, wich is a gold glitter with some holo glitter. Very nice! The formula was a bit thick, but at the same time I got this glitter polish opaque in just 2 coats and it dried fast.

Here are my pictures.

Do you like it? I do!!

What´s your favorite SOPI shade?? I think mine is still SOPI 212, because it´s so unique.

Enjoy your day!

Across The Universe vs Lady Sings The Blues

Hello!

As promised last sunday I´ve got the comparison of 2 Lippmanns for you today. I´ve been searchind for this comparison a long time but couldn´t find them. Of course I knew they are different, but I couldn´t decide which one I like better. I think the best way to decide that is by seeing them side by side. So if any of you ladies want to choose between these 2 beauties, stay tuned!

Here´s the picture. Only one, because the weather wasn´t sunny so I didn´t manage to make more decent pictures.

Excuse the horrible skin and cuticles...

Index and ring = Lady Sings The Blues
Middle and pinkie = Across The Universe

They both have glitter and hex glitter. ATU in blue and green/teal and LSTB in blue and silver. Their base colors look very similar, but ATU is less ink if you understand what I mean. The base is also different in finish, ATU is a sheer jelly and needs at least 3 coats (which I did in the pictures) and LSTB seems like a creme base, but dried matte and is almost opaque in 1 coat (but I used 2 for the swatch). Since LSTB dried matte I used a topcoat for this swatch. Application was very good on both of them, the brush is great! No clean up at all!!

Normally I´m not a huge fan of hex glitter, but I really like both shades. Even after seeing them side by side I´m still not sure if I can decide which one is the best. I think I like Lady Sings The Blues a teeny tiny bit better.

Which of these 2 is your favorite?

Thanks for watching!

Finger Paints Hue Rang

Hi ladies!

Todays polish was an extra in my last swap with Cat. At first I wasn´t all to sure about it. But it really is a very nice shade! It is a light purple with a hint of lavender. And another advantage, I don´t have anything like it. Application was great and a lot more opaque than I expected. I was ready to apply 3 coats, but it only needed 1. The brush on FP is really good!

Pictures!

Do you have any Finger Paints? And maybe you know a color which I should really try to get?

I really hope my transdesign order will come in today so I can start the giveaway I promised you.

Have a great day!

Chocolate Caramel

Goodmorning!

Today I've got some chocolate for you! Chocolate and caramel to be exact.

I already had Nubar Raspberry Truffle but I decided to buy 2 more from that collection, because I figured I needed more brown because it is more work appropriate. And why not get pretty browns then right? For today it is Nubar Chocolate Caramel. It is really glowy! Gold sparkles from within. I like it, true caramel color.

This is 2 coats

Pretty don't you agree? Will show you my other new Nubar soon as well.

Thanks for watching!
