Cosmetic Arts Equinox Fox

Goodmorning!

I don't have a lot to say about toadays polish. Except that it is a dupe for (non dud) Color Club Revvvolution. It's pretty! Although this might be a little more prismatic instead of linear. Should make a side by side comparison.

2 coats in the picture, no troubles with the application at all.

Thanks for visiting my blog and enjoy the pictures!

One more thing: today is my daughters 10th birthday. Happy Birthday dear Romy Noa!

Cosmetic Arts All The Trimmings (very pic heavy)

Hi ladies!

I'm so excited that I can finally show you this polish. This is probably the most unique polish in my stash. It's soooo awesome! It's green with some sort of a multichrome glitter in it. The glitter from blue to purple and gold and green. The day I was wearing this I couldn't stop staring at it.

I saw this for the first time I think last november and I fell in love with it, hahaha. Soon I realized it would be almost impossible to get my hands on it. It's sold only in a few cities in the US so I had to choose my swap buddy carefuly. I emailed a lot of MUA ladies, but found out it was a limited edition and it was already sold out. And than, months later, I saw Hannah had it listed to swap. OMG!! How could I have missed that?! I actually swapped with Hannah before and she is just sych an incredibly nice lady! I was so happy!! But then the package got lost in the mail.... F***! And Hannah couldn't buy a new one anymore because it was sold out. Oh no! But as I said before, Hannah is truly too kind, she sent me her bottle. Thanks again Hannah, I owe you big time!

Cosmetic Arts is also from Forsythe Cosmetic Group, just like Color Club, Funky Fingers and Massini/Studio M. Many colors are produced for all the brands, but not All The Trimmings.
Application was no problem and it dried really really fast. It is very sheer. I had to use 4 coats, although 5 would have been better, now there's still vnl. Oh well, I can live with that because the color is so gorgeous. In direct sunlight it's a very sparkly green and in the shade you can see the beautiful multichrome glitter.
Sorry for the long post and lots of pics, but I wanted to share this with you.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the pics.

BB Couture Dragon's Breath

Hello!

Today I'm showing you Dragon's Breath. From Kim at Overall Beauty I heard it's becoming very rare. Only a few more left, but it was the last one at Overall Beauty.

This is truly a beautiful shade! And you can adjust the color by using different amount of layers to the color you like most. With 1 it's pink, with 2 magentha, and 3 coats for purple. In the sun it will stay sort of magentha. Look at the gorgeous jelly with glitter in blue purple and silver.

I used 3 coats and application was great. No problem at all!

Thanks for stopping by!

piCture pOlish blog fest: Cowboy

Goodmorning on this kind of special day!
Two months ago the ladies from Picture Polish sent out an email asking who wanted to enter their Blog Fest. Meaning: lots of blogs posting Picture Polish shades on the same day. The polishes were provided by them for free. Which is extremely kind!! I decided it would be fun to participate. Of course they got lots of emails, but I was lucky to be chosen to represent the Netherlands :-)
The shade I received was Cowboy. It's a very nice taupe creme. Maybe you can even call it almost milk chocolate. Very work appropriate, which is a good thing, because I don't have a lot I can wear to work, haha.

I totally liked the brush and the application. Flawless and smooth. And it was opaque in just one coat. How great is that?! Always a good thing! What usually happens with me and 1 coat cremes, is that it somehow starts to crackle (yes, almost like shatter polish) when I apply topcoat, but no such thing happened. Another plus!!

There was a downside though. The polish chipped within a few hours. That's not something I'm used to. Since I received this polish for free and didn't want to be impolite, but at the same time I really want to be honest to my readers. So I contacted the ladies from Picture Polish and explained them my dilemma. They totally understood that I didn't want to lie and told me to write whatever I want to write about it. And they also explained that Picture Polish is supposed to be a 2 coat system. I was supposed to try that before this Blog Fest, but I just didn't have time. So eventhough it's opaque in just 1 coat, you should just use 2 to avoid chipping.

And if you are wondering if this shade is pretty on other skin tones too, I can tell you it definitely is. I tried it on 2 nails of my daughter, her skin is a few tones darker than mine, and it looked even more beautiful. Since she really hated the color, she wouldn't even let me take a picture of it, hahaha. But I can imagine that. She's a kid, she just wants bright colors.

Enjoy the pics and enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by!

one more thing: if you know any other blogs that participate in this blog fest, please leave me a comment :-)

Green glitter comparison by Kleancolor

Goodmorning!

I decided to do a comparison between the 2 green glitters I have from Kleancolor. Well, they turned out to be very different.

On my pinkie and middel finger you see Holiday Jingle and on my index and ring finger you see Leaves Jingle.

At first I thought I didn't need both, but then I saw swatches from Kaz from pretty-random and Holiday Jingle looked awesome. I'm really curious how she got the polish to look like that, because mine is definitely more of a topcoat. I think they probably changed the formula. Can you believe I used 3 coats in the picture? It's very difficult to catch the glitters on the brush, you mostly get the clear base.

Leaves Jingle on the other hand is exactly what I expected. I really like it! A green jelly with green glitter. And opaque in 2 coats. I think I could have taken better pics of Leaves Jingle though, but I will as soon as I wear it as a NOTD.

Thanks for visiting! Enjoy your day!

OPI Grape...Set...Match

Hello my dear readers!

OMG!!! Can you believe how pretty this is? I can't! It's absolutely my favorite purple from now on. Maybe even my favorite polish in the whole wide world!! But I have to think about that one, haha.

Look how it is duochrome and sparkly and gorgous blue and purple and shiny and just everything!! Beautiful!

I used 2 coats and somehow I finally seem to manage the pro wide brush better, so no problems there.

Yes, OPI Grape...Set...Match is a total winner for me!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kleancolor Metallic Red and Chunky Holo Scarlet

Hi ladies!

Another 2 Kleancolors for today. I really like this brand. Some of them have some application issues, but most of them are great. Especially the metallics.

I used 1 coat of each and somehow I don't have a lot to say about this mani. I just like it very much!!
So just enjoy the photos.

The last 2 pictures are Metallic Red on its own.

Thanks for visiting me today!

NYX Sea Of Cortez

Goodmorning!

Yes, that's right, another Charla dupe. Although I think this is prettier because it seems to have more gold. You can see that in the first picture especially. I promise to do a comparison soon.
Isn't this like the most copied color ever? Let's see, we have Zoya Charla, Essence Choose Me, OPI Catch Me In Your Net, Orly Halley's Comet, Accessorize Mermaid and I'm sure I forgot many of them.
I actually also bought a shade from NYX that looks quite like Zoya Ivanka, but we'll get to that some other time.

Application was fine. No troubles and a good brush. It wasn't all that opaque though, but I guess none of the Charla's were :-)
I used 3 coats and it looked fine, but you can difinitely see some vnl in direct sunlight.

Have a great day! And thanks for stopping by!

My new OPI's!!

Hi ladies!

I'm very happy with my new OPI polishes from the Grand Slam collection. So I decided to write a small piece about them.

These pretties were bought on eBay. Always a great way to find nice polishes. And if you search well enough, you don't always have to pay full price. I love a good bargain!

So of course I had to have Grape...Set...Match, since I am a total purple addict as you all know. It's gorgeous!! The second one I got is Your Royal Shine-ness. A silver foil with a hint of gold, which makes it different from your usual silver foil. I love a good foil! And the third one is Spark The Triomphe. It's a silver and soft gold glitter in different sizes. Had not seen anything like this before, a great glitter!!
Swatches will follow soon, I promise.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures!

Kleancolor Metallic Sapphire and NYX Turks and Caicos

Goodmorning!

Don't you just love a good metallic polish that is opaque im one coat? I suggest you get all the metallic polishes from Kleancolor then. They are awesome. Very easy to work with, one coaters and great colors! So far I own red, black, purple and sapphire. The last one I'm showing you today. Gorgeous blue!!!

I actually added Turks and Caicos by NYX because I'm in a huge glitter mood lately. Also easy to apply. Turks and Caicos is light blue jelly with multicolored glitter. I've heard it might be a dupe for one of the Katie Perry polishes. But I can't do a comparison because I don't have that one. If they.are dupes, this is definitely the cheaper version.

Unfortunately I'm still writing my posts on my cellphone and can't organize the pictures the way I want them too. So the pics with and without glitter might be mixed up.
Soon I'll have a break from work and I hopen I've got some time to fix my laptop than.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Color Club Magic Attraction

Hello!!
Today I'm showing you one of my favorite glitter bombs. It is sooo sparkly with all the light silver and holo glitter. But it's difficult to catch.on camera, that's why I included a blurry picture in this post too.
I used 3 coats, not completely opaque, but not necessary with this color. You could also use this as a layering polish.
Thanks for reading my post today!

Finally: the perfect black with red glitter

Goodmorning!

I've been searching for the perfect black with red glitter for ages. Tried many different ones. For instance Lubu Heels by China Glaze. It looks awesome... until you see it from a distance, then you hardly see the red glitter at all and it almost looks like a plain black polish. But then I ordered NYX Dorothy. Wow!! It's a black jelly with red micro glitter and red hex glitter. Gorgeous with a capital G!! And the glitter is also visible from a distance, big win!

Because it's a bit sheer I decided to layer it over my newest black polish, Kleancolor Metallic Black. Great polish!! 1 coat only and very smooth application. Then I used 1 coat of Dorothy. Application wasn't fantastic, a bit thick, but most glitter polishes are, so I was prepared for that.

Yes, I must say I'm totally happy with this mani! Finally my perfect black with red glitter. Mission accomplished.

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Color Club Puccilicious and Happy Birthday

Hi ladies!

A festive mani today because it was my birthday last weekend, although I didn't wear this as my birthday mani, hahaha.

Color Club Puccilicious is a purple neon polish which dries matte. I love this color and no problems with application at all and opaque in 2 coats. Then I applied 2 layers of Lippmann Happy Birthday. Awesome combo. Really like the glitter fest that's going on on my nails!!

One last thing. I updated my blogsale page, so take a look if you are interested.

Enjoy your day!

Golden Rose 119

Goodmorning!

Today I polish that actually surprised me. It was much more holo than I expected. But I was hoping for a black holo and that's not what I got unfortunately. Well, I really like charcoal holos as well, so the search for a good black holo will keep going on.

Application was just fine. 2 coats were enough for opacity. Downside is the brush, which is small and has a squared lid. But other than that no trouble.

Do you own any Golden Rose holos? Which are your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by!

Art de Lautrec 09B

Hi ladies!

Today a brand you haven't seen from me before. I recently picked 3 up at a market, so today is the first one to show. And to be hones, I don't like it...
It's sheer (3 coats and still not even close to opacity), it was awful to apply and the color...yuk. I like the holo glitter in it, but that's about it.
Maybe someday I can make someone else happy with this one, but it's not my kind of polish. Hopefully the other 2 are nicer. I've got a brown with holo glitter and a brown one with flakies. Let's wait and see.

Enjoy your weekend!
