My first Christmas mani: Elle´s Spell over Branding Iron

Hello ladies!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. As I explained the other day, for us here in the Netherlands it´s the second Christmas day today. I did have to work (I work in the airport), so nothing special for me.

I know I´m a little late, but today I´m showing you my first Christmas mani. Since I´m not a red polish kinda girl, but I do love some of the darker ones, I decided to layer Barielle Elle´s Spell over China Glaze Branding Iron. Nice and vampy!! Love the combo!

I used 1 coat of each and it was good to go. Application on both was good.

Here are my pics.

I keep loving flakies! I´m sorry for the overload in the last week.

Have you seen the new Finger Paints flakies yet? They are awesome! I wish I could get them here.

What is you favorite flakie?

Have a great day!

Barielle Elle´s Spell

Hi ladies!

For today I have a polish which you might have not expected to see on my nails. It´s red, which is not really my color. But this one... yes, I love it! I have used it before for layering, but now I finally used it on its own.

Barielle Elle´s Spell is a red jelly with duochrome flakies. Wow, it´s gorgeous! I know there´s one of the Nfu Oh flakies that is pretty similar. I think number 58 or 59, sorry, don´t remember. The difference is that most of my Nfu Oh flakies don´t dry this fast. The formula on Elle´s Spell is great! I used 3 coats.

I´m really sorry for the still very dry cuticles. Working on it, but as explained before, my skin is difficult to get moisturized.

Do you guys like this one? I think it´s the best Barielle I´ve ever seen. And also the best red polish that exists. And I actually like it on my nails too, yay!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Comparison flakies over Nubar Raspberry Truffle

Hi ladies!

The day before yesterday I showed you Nubar Raspberry Truffle and I told you I wanted to layer something over it. I couldn´t decide what to do, but I did know I wanted to compare different flakies over a dark color someday, so why not now?! So I pulled out my orange/yellow/red flakies to see what happens when you put them over Raspberry Truffle.

First the pictures.

Once again: excuse my horrible skin and cuticles, I wish there would be a solution for it
I used 1 coat of all flakies.

Index = Nfu Oh 49, flakies in a very sheer pink base
Middle = Nfu Oh 51, flakies in a sheer purple base
Ring = Barielle Elle´s Spell, flakies in a sheer red base
Pinkie = Gosh Rainbow, flakies in a clear base

As you can see the flakies in Nfu Oh 51 aren´t as visible as the others. Nfu Oh 49 and Gosh Rainbow don´t show any difference on the nail. And what´s also obvious is that the base color hardly shows at all. The flakies of Nfu Oh 51 and Barielle Elle´s Spell don´t shift color as much as the other two.

All together I can say Gosh Rainbow is an absolute musthave for layering. It is discontinued, but it has 3 dupes: Nubar 2010, Nfu Oh 38 and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Barielle Elle's Spell over H&M Hello Kitty Cool Summer

Goodmorning!

Today I'm showing you a polish lots of US ladies have been searching for ever since it showed up for the first time about a month ago. Somehow it seems hard to find. Even the US website doesn't have it. I got it from http://www.barielle.co.uk/ and found myself pretty lucky for getting it so easily.

When it came in I swatched it right away and found out it was quite sheer. After 3 coats still visible nail line. So it needed underwear and I decided to go for something purple (surprise! LOL). Going through my stash I found H&M Hello Kitty Cool Summer, which is a red based purple with pink and blue glitter. I was sort of hoping the glitter would still show up after I layered Elle's Spell on top of it, but it didn't.

This is 2 coats of Cool Summer + 2 coats of Elle's Spell

Isn't this just gorgeous!? I love it!

At first I only put 1 coat of Elle's Spell over Cool Summer, but it reminded me of Nfu Oh 51 (which I love and is my all time favorite) and I wanted something more red this time.
But I do want to show you what it looks like.

I think both combinations are great! And Elle's Spell has a great formula, it's really smooth even without topcoat. Cool Summer is bit on the thick side, but it does dry very quick.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day!

Barielle Falling Star

Hi!!

How are you all doing today? Can you believe it´s already the first of december? I can´t, it´s just all going so fast.

Today I´ve got my very first Barielle polish to show you. I got this recently together with Elle´s Spell. I have to say that they are both really gorgeous!!
The one I´m showing you here is Falling Star. This a medium blue creme with orange glitter. This is truly unique! Haven´t seen anything like this before. But I do think it´s pretty easy to franken this. Take a blue creme like Essie Mesmerize or Illamasqua Force and put orange glitter in it.

Since it wasn´t a sunny day when I wore this, it was really really hard to take a good picture. I shot about 50 pics and only found 1 good enough to make it to my blog.

This is 3 coats with SV (which I´m always a little scared to use because sometimes it gives shrinkage, but I was lucky this time).

I think in sunshine the glitter will really light up more, but I like it anyway. And quality is really good! I had this on for almost 3 days without any tipwear! Can you believe it? I have tipwear within 12 hours normally.

Do you have any recs for other Barielle shades that I should really get?

Thanks!
