Nubar Gem + bonus pic

Today I´ve got a polish for you that I have worn before, but I think I haven´t shown you this before. This polish in my opinion is pretty unique. It´s even quite difficult to discribe the color, but I´ll do my best. It´s sort of a light taupe with a pink flash/duochrome and packed with holo glitter. Awesome! Had a hard time photographing it, I made some pictures while I was in traffic jam (didn´t find any other time with daylight to make pics). Hope you´ll like them anyway.

This is 3 coats of Nubar Gem with tc.

Stunning, don´t you think? I do hate that I didn´t get better pics of this pretty.

And for the bonus: My daughter did an ombre mani with purple polishes with holo glitter.

Aw, my sweet love! Isn´t this just cute? I was sorting out my collection and while doing that my daughter went through all my polishes with me and decided to use all these shades.

Massini Fast Play over Zoya Cheryl

Last friday I showed you Zoya Cheryl again and I also promised you to show you some nice layering. Well, today is the day. Massini (or some might know the brand better as Studio M) is part of the Forsythe Group that´s also responsible for Funky Fingers and Color Club. Fast Play by Massini is a gold small flakie polish that flashes all kinds of colors. Mostly orange and green, but also blue and pink in some lights. I used 1 coat over 1 coat of Cheryl.

What do you think? Pretty cool huh? I really like this flakie because the base color of the flakies is gold, which is different from most other flakies. The base color of the polish is actually a lavender sheer jelly.

Massini Slammin Red

Goodmorning!

Todays polish is one that has been in my untrieds for quite some time. And when wearing it, I still wasn´t sure about it. Don´t get me wrong, I love this color with all its holograpic glitter, but I just think these kind of shades are not me and don´t look that nice with my skintone.

Massini Slammin Red is in my opinion kind of magenta and not really red. I adore it in the bottle, but I don´t think I´ll wear this a lot. Well, maybe on my toenails, that could be fun in the summer.

Application is a mess actually. I experienced this with its sister Purple Medallion as well. It is opaque in just one coat, that´s great, but it is really really thick and bumpy. And it stains. I advice to use a few coats of basecoat before applying this, hahaha.

What do you think? Does it suit me? And do you like this shade? I keep repeating myself, but I really love it in the bottle!!

Massini/Studio M Drama Queen over Orly Pixie Dust

Hi ladies!

Two days ago I showed you Orly Pixie Dust. After work I wanted to spice it up a little and used one coat of Massini/Studio M Drama Queen over it. Massini is from the same company as Color Club and they have a lot of the same colors. I´m not totally sure, but I think this is one of them.

Drama Queen is a clear base packed with silver and red glitter. It´s kind of a Christmas color. But I like it!!

This would be fine on its own as well. I think it will be opaque in 2 or 3 coats.

Do you own any of the Massini/Studio M nail polishes? I´ve got 4 of them and love them. My favorite is Purple Medallion, but the others are pretty awesome as well.

2 swatches for my 2 months anniversary: Massini & Nfu Oh

Hi ladies!

Today is my 2 month blogging anniversary. And I love doing this! Although I don´t have a lot of followers yet, I do want to thank you ladies for reading my blog!!

Since the last few days it has been mostly dark colors that I´ve showed you and since we have something to celebrate, I thought it would be good to show you something more fun today. And because of the anniversary I´m showing you two of my recent swatches. I did both of them last friday.

First up is Massini Fast Play, 2 coats over 1 coat of Nubar Lavender (lavender/lilac creme). Fast Play is hard to describe. It´s not really a flakie, but also not really a glitter. But it is FUN!

The flakie/glitter is gold duochrome. It´s awesome! I got this in a swap with KarenD. I found this 2 weeks ago or something when I was looking for more Massini polishes since I think they are awesome. At first I had no clue what it was called, but the ladies on MUA helped me out.

 
And the bonus for today is Nfu Oh 53. This is a polish that is mostly used for layering. Since I think the color in the bottle is just so awesome, I wanted to show you this pretty on its own. It is a jelly which is very sheer, so I used 4 coats. Application was good though.

Swapping is so much fun!

Hi guys!

It´s sunday already, that means that for some of you the weekend is almost over.

Today I want to show you all some swaps I did recently.
First up is my first huge international swap. The lovely Trista who I met at MUA was so kind to buy all the polishes I asked her to. How great is that!! All kinds of polish that are almost impossible to get when you don´t live the USA.

Since I read it was 2 for 1 for the Sinful Colors at that moment, I asked Trista to get me some surprises as well. The 4 on the right is what she got me. Great!

And the last picture is CQ mint green (never heard of that brand, was also a surprise from Trista, but not my kind of color), LA Girl alkaline blue and NYX graffiti (which was completely different from the swatches I saw at Lextard, but that´s ok, still nice)

Also she put some candy, a nice card and nailfiles which looks like matches in the box.

I did some swapping before, but never as big as this one. Thanks again Trista for all the hard work you did for me. Hope you´ll receive my surprise package soon.

Yesterday I received my swap package from Cat, who I also met on MUA. Cat contacted me after reading how difficult it is to get some of the greatest polishes when you live in Europe. She told me she only had one wish: a polish of Koh. As most of you know, Koh is quite expensive. And unavailable if you live in the US. So we could help eachother. GREAT!! Cat was able to get the polishes I liked very cheap. In the end she got me 8 (!!) polishes for just 1 Koh. I feel so guilty, but she insisted doing this. So very very very nice of her!
