Hi ladies!
From the bottles the 2 colors I´m comparing today actually looked a lot alike. Well, the only thing that is the same is the finish and also that they are both blue.
LA Girl Punk is much darker than Gosh Blue Monday. I have to say I prefer Punk. Punk also has a slight purple duochrome which I couldn't capture unfortunately. Blue Monday in my opinion is better used as a layering polish, since it wasn't opaque in 3 coats and I'm not sure if it would with 4. Punk could have gotten away with just 2 coats, but I used 3.
Well, here are the pictures.
Index and ring = Gosh Blue Monday
Middle and pinkie = LA Girl Punk

Gosh Gasoline
Hello
I thought it was about time I´d show you Gosh Gasoline since I am a total purple lover and this is a brand which is actually sold here in stores. Although I have to confess that I hardly ever buy any polish in stores. Whenever I look around in drugstores I just can´t believe how expensive most stuff is. The only 2 brands that are really cheap are Essence and Catrice, but I don´t really like either of them. Essence has a bad formula and the bottles are so small and Catrice just doesn´t have amazing colors in my opinion. Gosh has a few nice colors, but come on, 7 euro for 10ml!! That really is ridiculous, especially since they don´t have a great formula or a huge variety in shades. Other brands like Herome and Koh are also way overpriced. So I almost always shop online.
But today I´ve got Gasonline for you. Since this is totally sheer and I guess it needs about 4 coats to be opaque and then it just doesn´t dry, I used 1 coat of OPI Funky Dunkey first. After this I applied 2 coats of Gasoline and a topcoat. I really like the result!
What do you think? Looks nice huh? The great purple with blue glitter/shimmer. The second picture isn´t all that great, but I liked how you can the gorgeous blue sparkles.
Thanks for watching!

Gosh Holographic for stamping!
Hi ladies!
Today I've got some konad for you with one of my favorite patterns (together with the rose pattern). For my base color I used China Glaze Branding Iron. This is a deep dark red, very pretty. I'm not really into red at all, but this very deep shade I like very much. And opaque in just 1 coat. Win!
For stamping I used Gosh Holographic. I have tried China Glaze OMG for stamping before, but I wasn't all that impressed. Holographic is just a lot more holo so a lot better for stamping too.
Here are the pictures.

On the first pic (daylight with a little bit of sun) the holo is really visible. And you can also see I didn't use topcoat, haha. This was the morning after I applied it and you can see that some part of the stamp was gone. You should definitely enlarge the first pic.
The second was taken right after I applied it and under a lamp.
And here's a pic of Branding Iron on its own
Well, that's all for today. Thank you for stopping by!

Finger Paints Hue Rang + flakies
Hi guys!
Remember I showed you Hue Rang a few days ago? Well, you know I almost always try to do something extra with a polish with a topcoat when I just don´t have to time to change my entire mani. So my good pal Gosh Rainbow had to do the trick once again.
Here are the pictures of 1 coat Hue Rang and 1 coat Rainbow.
I really like the combo of the purple/lavender shade and the rainbow flakies! This will be on re-run this summer :-)
Thanks for stopping by!

Comparison flakies over Nubar Raspberry Truffle
Hi ladies!
The day before yesterday I showed you Nubar Raspberry Truffle and I told you I wanted to layer something over it. I couldn´t decide what to do, but I did know I wanted to compare different flakies over a dark color someday, so why not now?! So I pulled out my orange/yellow/red flakies to see what happens when you put them over Raspberry Truffle.
First the pictures.
Index = Nfu Oh 49, flakies in a very sheer pink base
Middle = Nfu Oh 51, flakies in a sheer purple base
Ring = Barielle Elle´s Spell, flakies in a sheer red base
Pinkie = Gosh Rainbow, flakies in a clear base
As you can see the flakies in Nfu Oh 51 aren´t as visible as the others. Nfu Oh 49 and Gosh Rainbow don´t show any difference on the nail. And what´s also obvious is that the base color hardly shows at all. The flakies of Nfu Oh 51 and Barielle Elle´s Spell don´t shift color as much as the other two.
All together I can say Gosh Rainbow is an absolute musthave for layering. It is discontinued, but it has 3 dupes: Nubar 2010, Nfu Oh 38 and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Once again: excuse my horrible skin and cuticles, I wish there would be a solution for it
I used 1 coat of all flakies.

Rainbow over Shim-merry Chic
Goodmorning!
Just a short one today, sorry, have been quite busy lately. And there´s just not a lot to say about this mani, haha.
Last wednesday I showed you OPI Shim-Merry Chic. Very nice, but I think the flakies could be a lot more visible so I topped it of with Gosh Rainbow to give it just that little extra. I definitely like the result. Hope you like it too.
Have a great weekend!!
Take care,
Miranda

China Glaze Branding Iron + Gosh Rainbow
Goodmorning to you all!
You´re witnessing a historic moment. I´m wearing a red nail polish for the very first time! I couldn´t even imagine wearing red ever. It´s not that I´m head over heels about every shade of red all of the sudden, don´t worry, but I saw some manicures with dark red polish topped with flakies and for the first time I saw that even red could be stunning. So I ordered China Glaze Branding Iron.
I used to dislike nailpolish when I was a kid. I remember one of my big cousins painting my nails in a bright red when I was 4 years old. I cried until my mother finally removed it. That´s when the hate for red started, hahaha. When I grew up I did start liking other colors, but still hated red. And then I became a nailpolish junkie, but still no red. Up till now...
Branding Iron has great application, opaque in just one coat. It´s a deep dark red, very pretty. I layered it with flakies (Gosh Rainbow). One of the ladies on a dutch nailboard mentioned that I just can´t seem to do a mani without glitter or flakies LOL. I think she´s right, haha. I love to spice up everything.
On to the pics.

I just wish the sun was shining when I was wearing this, but unfortunately it didn´t want to come out and play. You hardly see that it´s red at all, hahaha (except for the first picture) Well, I really like the combination! The gorgeous duochrome flakies that flash red, orange, green and yellow.
Have a nice day!!

Flakies + Glitter = just a little bit too much
Hi ladies!
Last night I didn't have time to do my nails, so today they are actually naked *SHOCK*. That's why I chose a NOTD of about a month ago. I thought flakies and glitter would be a nice combo. In the end I thought it was a little over the top.
I started of with Nubar Noir, which is a very beautiful and smooth black creme. I love the application of Nubar, hardly ever have to do clean up.

I think I should have stopped after Gosh rainbow, haha.
Hopefully I have more time tonight to bring you a new NOTD.
Almost weekend for most of you, my weekend starts at tuesday, but that´s ok, I´m used to that.
Thanks for watching! And enjoy your day!

Purple duochrome comparison
Good morning to all of you!
Today I have a comparison for you. Since I´m a sucker for duochromes and purple is my favorite color, I ended up buying quite a few of them. I thought it might be nice to do a comparison.
So here it is. From thumb to pink:
Zoya Adina, Koh Glamorous Purple, Nubar Purple Beach, Zoya Ki, Gosh Purple Heart

Don´t really remember how many coats I used for all of them. Sorry for the messy application, was a quick swatch.
Which one is your favorite of these? Mine is Nubar Purple Beach, but I really like all of them!
That´s it for now. Maybe I´ve made your choice a little easier.
Enjoy your weekend!!
