Icing Irish Gold

Hello ladies!

Yes, that´s right, another Icing polish today. Also bought on my trip to Miami. I was actually searching for an Icing store the whole time I was there. And guess what, I finally found it on my last hours in Miami. Since I had some (a lot) time to fill before I was flying home, I decided to go to the mall closest to the mall. Dolphin Mall it´s called if anyone is wondering. Very nice mall! I bought lots of clothes and nail polish that day.

Anyway, back to the actual polish. Irish Gold is a green and gold glitter in a clear base. Pretty cool! I actually thought it was something more like a green base with gold and maybe even some holo glitter, but ok, like this too.

I used 3 coats, although a 4th coat would have been better.

Let´s have a look.

What do you think? Pretty nice right?

Have a great day!

Icing Starlight

Hi ladies!

First of all: sorry I haven´t been posting much lately. But last week was really really really busy! I´ve been running around from one place to another and I just didn´t have time to blog. Didn´t even have time to paint my nails. But today I finally found some time to do a bit of swatching.

The first one I´m showing you is Icing Starlight. It´s a sky blue jelly with holographic glitter. Because it´s a jelly it is really sheer. What you see here is 3 coats.

Application was ok, although the brush is a bit strange.

I do like the color, but I´m not sure it´s really my type of color.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Icing Chrome Navy

Hello!

I´m kind of in a hurry, so this is going to be a short post. Sorry!!

Icing Chrome Navy is a really beautiful blue polish. Metallic navy, yeah baby!

Application was a bit difficult because of the square lid (this isn´t one of the Icing bottles that looks exactly like the China Glaze bottle) and the short brush. But the polish was ok, no problems there. I did expact it to be opaque in 1 coat, but it took 2. Oh well, still not bad. Like other metallic polishes it dried very quick, which makes it great as a base color for any kind of layering.

Here are the pics.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Icing Witche´s Brew

Hello!

Yes, yes, yes, finally!! I found a glitter in a black base that actually shows the color even from a distance. And it´s awesome!

Icing Witche´s Brew is a black jelly with green glitter. And it´s quite opaque too, only 2 coats! Which is pretty good for a jelly I think. The polish is a bit thick, but definitely not unmanageable.

Click to enlarge. In this case bigger is definitely better.

What do you think of this polish? Cool, right?
I actually have the purple version too, will show that soon as well. Hopefully it also shows the glitter so well.

Do you see a pattern lately? No? Well, I´ve shown you lots of greens lately. I seem to love greens more and more.

Thanks for stopping by!

Icing Epic Winning

Hello!

One of the polishes I was actually searching for in the US was Epic Winning by Icing. Each time I saw a Claire´s I went inside. But non of them sold Icing. I really thought they were like sisters. And I´m still sure of that, but it took like 5 Claire´s before I finally found an Icing store.

Epic Winning is a blue, silver and holo glitter in a clear base. It was difficult to get it opaque. I used 4 coats, although 3 gave almost the effect. Next time I will definitely layer. Drying time and application was good though.
Shade

I love it! It´s really pretty! And I´m so happy I found it. I got lots of compliments on this polish too. I don't think I ever got more compliments than on this polish.

What do you think?? Like it?

Thanks for watching!

Holiday shopping, BIG TIME!

Hi ladies!

I´ve been home now for a few days and what an amazing holiday it was! I loved Miami, I loved the Bahamas and I loved the cruise ship. And of course I did "some" shopping. I´ve read about all these stores in the US that lots of you ladies visit frequently. For me it was awesome! Walking right into Ulta while up till then I had only read about it. And Walgreens, Forever21, CVS, Ross, Icing, Del Sol and more. Just seeing all these great brands that I love displayed right in front of me. Some stores I haven´t found unfortunately (like Sally´s, Target, Walmart, Rite Aid) but I did some big time hauling. I tried only picking the ones that I had on my wishlist but I failed miserably. Bought a total of 31 polishes and 2 of the newest Konad plates, ooooppsss!

So here we go, this is what I got.

Butter London No More Waity Kaitie + remover

Color Club Back To Boho set (yes, the cheap 8 dollar sets are really sold at Ross)
Boho Mojo, Nouveau Vintage, Voodoo You Do, Artsy Crafty, Blue-topia, Rebel Spirit

Icing: Chrome Navy Blue, Irish Gold, Epic Winning, Vampire Blood, Witches Brew, Starlight

Orly Fowl Play, Orly Nite Owl, Orly Out Of This World, Zoya Neeka, Zoya Yara, OPI It´s My Year, OPI ds Top Coat

Sinful Colors Let Me Go, Wet ´n Wild Back Alley Deals, Wet ´n Wild Teal Of Fortune, Piggy Polish The Right To Bare Feet, Milani Blue Lightening

Nicole Me + Blue, Sally Hansen Icequeen, L`oreal Owl´s Night, Confetti Ice Ice Baby, Love & Beauty Shimmering Grey

M84 and M85

Besides all these brands I´ve seen many more and mostly at places I didn´t expect them.

The Piggy Polish is unlabled, so I´m not sure it´s the right name... I actually found another one that looks a lot like it.

So what do you think ladies? Ready to see swatches? I´ve already used No More Waity Kaitie while I was on holiday. And OMG, the worst application ever!! Did I get a bad bottle or did you guys experience it too? I can´t even describe all the problems I had. I really hope some thinner would do the trick. I haven´t even made pictures of it.
I also used Blue Lightening, which I think is pretty close to OPI ds Magic. Will make a comparison some day. I did take pictures of this, so you´ll see that one soon.

Thanks for visiting!

Icing Bedazzled

Hi ladies!

Today I´ve got an Icing polish which I really like! This is a glitter polish which is mostly bright blue glitter with some purple glitter in it as well. Normally I don´t even like bright blue too much.
There are a lot of purple and blue glitters on the market, almost every brand has one, but I usually don´t like them. That´s because most of them are meant to be a topcoat or the glitter is just too big. I actually have had quite a few of them, but never really liked any of them. But this Icing Bedazzled is quite awesome! The glitter isn´t all too gritty or huge, it´s not quite a microglitter either, but just really nice. I accidentely bought its dupe from Claire´s too, that´s called Mystical. Since I really don´t need dupes in my stash, I´ve placed it in my blog sale page.

Application was fine. The first coat was kind of strange, but from the second coat on it went fine. The only strange thing is that it dried sort of matte. Well, at least I think that´s strange for a glitter. But nothing a topcoat can´t fix.

Here is 3 coats of Bedazzled + topcoat.

You see how sparkly this is? Beauty!

These are actually the first pics taken with my new phone :-) It´s such an awesome phone, the Samsung Galaxy S. I had some difficulty first with shooting normal pics, but I think in the end it turned out just fine. Since the phone is a bit bigger as I´m used to and also is completely touchscreen, I had some trouble keeping it steady. I hope I´ll learn to handle it a bit better soon.

Enjoy your day!

Icing Peacock

Hello ladies!

Today I´m showing you a polish that I recently got in a swap as an extra. This came from Cat aka Faerieberry. I had never even seen this polish in swatches but it shows how well she knows my taste. I love it, thanks Cat! I always have trouble finding a nice extra for a swap, it´s difficult to figure out someone else´s taste. But Cat did a great job once again.
It´s a teal leaning green with a pink flash/duochrome. It´s unlinke anything I´ve seen before, so truly unique. You don´t see many polishes from the brand Icing on blogs unfortunately, would love to see more, maybe they have more of these awesome shades.
The only polish that comes to mind when I look at this is Zoya Adina, although that´s purple with a green flash/duochrome.

Here is Icing Peacock, 3 coats.

I had a hard time capturing the pink flash, but you can see it very good in real life and also in the bottle. Yes, I really like this shade.

Can anyone tell me why the bottles of the Icing polishes are exactly the same as China Glaze bottles? I´ve read somewhere that they are not from the same company, but looking at the bottles I really doubt that.

So, do you like this shade? Isn´t this just one very unique shade?

Thanks for watching!
