OPI Warm & Fozzie

Hello ladies!

Already 5 days since my last post! I can´t believe how time flies when you are stressed and busy. But today I finally have a manicure to show you. My skin is in really bad shape. It has been insanely cold this past week here in the Netherlands. And I can moisturize as much as I want, but it just doesn´t really make it better. So please do not look at my horrible skin in the pictures.

The polish I´m showing you today is Warm & Fozzie by OPI. An awesome foil with gold, bronze, pink and even some green tones. It does need 3 coats for full opacity. But it wears like iron. I took the pictures on the third day wearing this. I used to change my mani every day, sometimes every other day, but I don´t have time for that either at the moment. I hope the time comes back that I can do that again.

Anyway, back to the polish.

Do you have any of the OPI Muppets? I only have this one but I think I would like to get Designer The Better too.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

Cosmetic Arts You Sleigh Me

Hello!

Today I have another polish from Cosmetic Arts. As I´ve told before, this is from the same company as Color Club, Studio M and Funky Fingers. And the color I´m showing you today might be a dupe for Color Club Magic Elf, not sure though.

I used 2 coats of Cosmetic Arts You Sleigh Me, which was ok. Maybe a 3th coat would have been better. But this was just a swatch. Application was just like you expect from Color Club and its sisters.

The pictures are not color accurate. Somehow my camera changed the color for no reason. In real life it really is a more yellow toned green and also lighter.

Enjoy your day!

Nfu Oh 69: The prettiest blue foil

Hi ladies!

Today a polish I´ve showed you a few times before. But I was just in the mood for this one. And I was in a hurry too and this one only needs 2 coats and dries fast.

It´s an ice-blue kind of color and it´s a foil. I like foils a lot! Application is good. And the bottle shape of Nfu Oh is just gorgeous!

In real life the color is a little more ice blue than what´s shown in the pics.
Sorry this is such a short post, but there just isn´t much to say about this polish. It´s just very cool!

OPI Pros & Bronze

Hello!

Todays color is a bit weird. Well, it looks weird on me. When I saw this one on other blogs I just had to have it. So recently I used it and it just didn´t look good on me. No idea if it´s just my skintone or if it´s just me not liking the colors used in this polish, I really don´t know.

This polish is bronze (which looks orange), pink and in heavy sunlight you can see some other (very small) multicolored glitter too. The finish is sort of a foil. And it´s sheer. I used 3 coats and I could still see through my nails when I hold them up into the light.

Here it is: OPI Pros & Bronze

So what do you think about this color? You like it? I think it gives me lobster hands, yuk.

Foil duochrome layering experiment

Hello ladies!

Today I´ve got a layering experiment. And it worked out quite well if I may say so.

I was always wondering what happened if you layer 2 duochromes. Are there more colors visible? Or do they mix and give different colors? Well, a little bit of both I guess.

First I used 2 coats of Claire´s Poison Apple and then 2 coats of Orly Space Cadet. The result? A lighter version of Space Cadet, haha. It seems like the purple of Space Cadet and the pink of Poison Apple blended a little and you also you can see some orange from Poison Apple through the gold of Space Cadet. I think it´s pretty awesome.

Sorry for the smudge on my middle finger, ooooppss.

Gorgeous! Well, that´s my opinion. But what do you think? Is it a nice combination or what?

Thanks for stopping by!

OPI Your Royal Shine-ness + Spark The Triumphe

Goodmorning!!

Just recently I found these pictures on my phone. I was sure I had already shown you this, but after searching my blog thoroughly, I couldn't find it. But hey, I can always show it to you now.

I really love both of these, but together they are awesome!! I wore this to the Take That concert and it really is perfect for a concert.

Here is 2 coats of OPI Your Royal Shine-ness + 1 coat of OPI Spark The Triumphe.

Your Royal Shine-ness is a silver foil with a hint of gold in it and Spark The Triumphe is a silver and soft gold glitter in different shapes and sizes in a clear base.

Application on both of them was good.

Enjoy your day!

My new OPI's!!

Hi ladies!

I'm very happy with my new OPI polishes from the Grand Slam collection. So I decided to write a small piece about them.

These pretties were bought on eBay. Always a great way to find nice polishes. And if you search well enough, you don't always have to pay full price. I love a good bargain!

So of course I had to have Grape...Set...Match, since I am a total purple addict as you all know. It's gorgeous!! The second one I got is Your Royal Shine-ness. A silver foil with a hint of gold, which makes it different from your usual silver foil. I love a good foil! And the third one is Spark The Triomphe. It's a silver and soft gold glitter in different sizes. Had not seen anything like this before, a great glitter!!
Swatches will follow soon, I promise.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures!

Orly Luxe

Goodmorning!!

I don't know why, but I was sooo in the mood for gold. And what is the best gold nail polish ever? Right, Orly Luxe. Nice soft gold foil which is also easy to apply. What else can you wish for in a gold polish?

And that's why I'm going to keep my mouth shut now, the polish and pics speak for themselves.

Thanks for watching!

H&M My Favorite Jeans

Hi ladies!

Today I've got something for you that I wanted for quite a long time. And after I finally got it, I left it untried for about 6 months. How's that possible? Well, no idea, probably too many pretties to choose from.

My Favorite Jeans is like a blue/charcoal foil. Very pretty! I used 2 coats for complete opacity. Application was good.

Enjoy the pics and thanks for stopping by!!

Nfu Oh 67 with stamping

Hi ladies!

For todays manicure I was actually planning another gradient mani. Well, I failed miserably, hahaha. I should really learn the sponge technique, that would make it a lot easier to do a nice gradient. But ok, so I removed it and started with something completely different. I was just going through my stash and instead of picking one of my untrieds (which I always try to do) I chose 2 colors I've used before. For the base color I used 2 coats of Nfu Oh 67 which is a foil blue. Very pretty!! It dries fast and applies very easy. For the stamping I used an image plate by Essence and China Glaze Little Drummer Boy. I think these 2 colors match very well.

Here are the pictures

Do you like it? I really like the combination.

The Essence full nail images are large enough for the nail, unlike the first set of Bundle Monster plates. I'm now waiting for the second set of BM plates, I've read they are big enough to cover the whole nail and I've seen some pretty amazing images already, so I'm really excited about them.

Thanks for stopping by!

OPI You Don´t Know Jacques suede

Goodmorning ladies!

Todays polish is You Don´t Know Jacques suede by OPI. I just love the suede line because of the quick dry one coat formula. I always grap a suede when I´m in a hurry, although I really don´t like the suede finish, just like I don´t like matte finish. But a coat of topcoat and I´m good to go :-) So that´s what you´ll see in the pictures too.

The original YDKJ is a taupe color, but I would really call this just brown.
The fun thing with suede polishes is that the finish changes so much when you apply topcoat, it´s almost foil like, which you will also notice when you remove it. You´ll see a silver layer underneath the brown polish.
So for me YDKJ suede + TC = brown foil

Here are my pics

Excuse the tipwear, these were taken on day 3. My other hand actually had a chip after 1 day already, which I never had with any other polish before.

Enjoy your day!

Teeez week day 7: Gutsy

Hi ladies!

This is the last day of Teeez week, I hope you´ve all enjoyed it. I certainly did! I think it´s nice to show you a great dutch brand for a change. And the formula and application were very good! Hope they will bring out more great colors in the future.

The last one I´ve got for you is Gutsy. Difficult to describe! It´s a foily like polish with charcoal and copper and silver. Sounds awesome right?! Well, it is :-)

2 coats in the pics. Also good application.

It´s actually a bit lighter than the pictures show. A very cool color! Do you like it? I think you should enlarge the first picture after the bottle pic, that shows how awesome it is.

Have a nice weekend!

Claire´s Poison Apple

Hi ladies!

How are you all doing?

Today´s polish is Claire´s Poison Apple. Eventhough it has colors I usually don´t wear at all, I really like this one! It´s probably because it is a duochrome and a foil, 2 finishes I really love.
Poison Apple shifts from red to orange and magenta. Well, it just is quite awesome!

It is quite sheer though. After the first coat I wasn´t sure it would become opaque at all. But after the second layer it got a lot better already. And with 3 coats it was totally opaque. I think you can also use this as a layering polish.
Application was just fine, Claire´s isn´t that bad.

On to the pics.

What do you say guys, hot or not?

Thanks for stopping by!

Orly Rage

Goodmorning ladies!

Todays polish is one I really really like. It´s foil, it´s champagne, it´s Orly Rage.
The color in the bottle looks like rose gold in the bottle, but somehow on me it looks champagne or soft gold. I don´t mind, I like it.

Don´t you just love the caps of Orly bottles? Well, I do. And the application is good on most of them too. Rage was opaque in 2 coats.

Let´s have a look what it looks like on me.

Sparkly champagne on nails! Yay!

Well, don´t have much more to say, so that´s all for now.

Thanks for watching!

Hard Candy Mr Wrong

Hello ladies!

Today I've got my only Hard Candy polish to show you. I already did a comparison with Sally Hansen Purple Gala with it, but had not shown you this on it's own yet.

I really love these kind of foil finishes!! Gold and silver small glitter that blends into foil actually.

This is 2 coats of Hard Candy Mr Wrong.

You should really click on the pics to enlarge, that way you see the structure much better.

Application was good. No complaints!

Thanks for watching and have a good day.

Orly Space Cadet, second attempt

Hello!

About 4 or 5 months ago I showed you the best polish that came out in 2010. After looking at the pictures I decided I needed to try to get better shots of this beauty. And I can only say, I need to redo this another time... once again I´m not totally satisfied, but the pictures are better than my first attempt.

Orly Space Cadet is a gorgeous duochrome foil. I really wish any of the brands would produce more of these kind of shades. I know they tried with the complete Cosmix FX collection and also the MAC Vanomous Villains collection, but for me the finish of Space Cadet is really one of a kind. Love it!

It mostly flashes purple and green, but you can see some gold, brown and pink in it as well.

Here is 3 coats of the best of 2010.

Isn´t this just beautiful?

What´s your favorite polish released in 2010?
