Hi there!
When I saw Sally Hansen Ice Queen it looked really interesting in the bottle. Silver glitter + blue hex glitter. Well, I actually underestimated it. It´s quite an awesome layering polish. Besides the silver glitter and blue hex glitter there´s also some holo glitter (not a lot, just a bit) and pink hex glitter.
Now I only needed something to layer it over. So I went through my spreadsheet and saw Finger Paints Artist Sapphire was still untried. I must admit that I wasn´t sure it was untried or I just forgot to mark it as tried. Oh well, who cares :P It´s a nice dark blue.
Application of Artist Sapphire is really nice because of the small brush. And I only needed 1 coat. It did take a little longer than average to dry, but that´s ok.
Ice Queen has a really nice formula for a glitter! I used 2 coats of that. And it´s not gritty like many other glitter polishes.
Pictures!
What do you think of this combo?
I was a bit afraid it would look like China Glaze Lorelei´s Tiara which I have on the way, but after using it I´m quite sure it isn´t. What I´ve seen from Lorelei´s Tiara is that it is a glitter which fully covers the nail, while Ice Queen is definitely only for layering.
Thanks for stopping by!

Holiday shopping, BIG TIME!
Hi ladies!
I´ve been home now for a few days and what an amazing holiday it was! I loved Miami, I loved the Bahamas and I loved the cruise ship. And of course I did "some" shopping. I´ve read about all these stores in the US that lots of you ladies visit frequently. For me it was awesome! Walking right into Ulta while up till then I had only read about it. And Walgreens, Forever21, CVS, Ross, Icing, Del Sol and more. Just seeing all these great brands that I love displayed right in front of me. Some stores I haven´t found unfortunately (like Sally´s, Target, Walmart, Rite Aid) but I did some big time hauling. I tried only picking the ones that I had on my wishlist but I failed miserably. Bought a total of 31 polishes and 2 of the newest Konad plates, ooooppsss!
So here we go, this is what I got.

So here we go, this is what I got.
Butter London No More Waity Kaitie + remover
Color Club Back To Boho set (yes, the cheap 8 dollar sets are really sold at Ross)
Boho Mojo, Nouveau Vintage, Voodoo You Do, Artsy Crafty, Blue-topia, Rebel Spirit
Icing: Chrome Navy Blue, Irish Gold, Epic Winning, Vampire Blood, Witches Brew, Starlight
Orly Fowl Play, Orly Nite Owl, Orly Out Of This World, Zoya Neeka, Zoya Yara, OPI It´s My Year, OPI ds Top Coat
Sinful Colors Let Me Go, Wet ´n Wild Back Alley Deals, Wet ´n Wild Teal Of Fortune, Piggy Polish The Right To Bare Feet, Milani Blue Lightening
Nicole Me + Blue, Sally Hansen Icequeen, L`oreal Owl´s Night, Confetti Ice Ice Baby, Love & Beauty Shimmering Grey
M84 and M85
Besides all these brands I´ve seen many more and mostly at places I didn´t expect them.
The Piggy Polish is unlabled, so I´m not sure it´s the right name... I actually found another one that looks a lot like it.
So what do you think ladies? Ready to see swatches? I´ve already used No More Waity Kaitie while I was on holiday. And OMG, the worst application ever!! Did I get a bad bottle or did you guys experience it too? I can´t even describe all the problems I had. I really hope some thinner would do the trick. I haven´t even made pictures of it.
I also used Blue Lightening, which I think is pretty close to OPI ds Magic. Will make a comparison some day. I did take pictures of this, so you´ll see that one soon.
Thanks for visiting!

Sally Hansen Earthen Opal
Hi ladies!
Some time ago I saw swatches of a lot of Sally Hansen Opals. Earthen Opal looked soooo awesome so I ordered it from eBay right away. It had the most amazing duochrome. But in real life it isn´t that duochrome-y. It´s not like you see more than 1 color at the same time. Maybe I got a bad bottle. Sure, it has more than one color, but never visible at the same time. In some lights its purple, in other lights it´s a bronze-y kind of brown. It´s nice, but not as great as I expected.
For my base I used one coat of Zoya Raven. And then I used one coat of Earthen Opal. As you can see I did a crappy job with the application, but that was only because it was almost dark when I was applying this. Sorry.
Do you have any Opals? And are they more duochrome than mine? I´m really wondering if I got a dud...
Have a great day!

Layering experiment with Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz
Hello ladies!
Lately I´ve seen a lot of layering experiments on blogs and on MUA. Since I´m not that creative myself I decided to copy one I´ve seen on MUA (I´m sorry, don´t remember who it was anymore, otherwise of course I would credit her for it). It consists of 3 jelly polishes with glitter.
The original one was with Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz, OPI Last Friday Night and Clarins 230. But I only have Purple Pizzazz out of these 3, so I decided to use NYX Turks and Caicos, which is an almost dupe for Last Friday Night, and Kleancolor Chunky Holo Fuchsia, which is the closest I´ve got to the famous unicorn pee and actually has the number 230 as well.
Ok, this is what I did. I started with 2 thin coats of Purple Pizzazz. After that 1 coat of Turks and Caicos and 1 coat of Chunky Holo Fuchsia. And I finished it with another layer of Purple Pizzazz and my dear friend China Glaze Fast Forward.
Here are my pics, but you have to imagine it a lot more purple instead of blue.
Unfortunately you don't see the green in the multichrome glitter from Kleancolor, but it definitely is there. Oh man, I love the Holo Chrome collection from Kleancolor!
Drying took long! Eventhough I usually don´t have any problems with Fast Forward. It´s probably because it´s all jelly´s and because it´s 5 layers. Well, I think it looks pretty awesome! I love that jelly finish! No vnl, but you can still see through the nail when you hold them up to the light.

Nfu Oh 51 over Sally Hansen Cyber
Hi ladies
Another crappy post from me. Seriously, I hate giving you such a strange blogposts, but there's nothing else I can do right now. I can't even properly resize my pictures!
Todays mani is 2 coats of SH Cyber with 2 coats of my very much loved Nfu Oh 51. I think Cyber is a great base color for this!! I just don't want to waste too much of my 51, so with a base color it lasts longer. This was actually my NOTD from yesterday and it was so bright and vibrant that it made me all happy :-)
Probably I'll never get over my love for flakies, haha
And I wanted to let you know that finally Cosmetic Arts polishes are coming my way, I'm soooo happy!! So I'll be showing you them asap. And I also arranged a swap for the new Kleancolors, the Chunky Holos, so that's coming up too soon.
Oh, I'm so excited about these 2 swaps, I can't wait!!
Have a great day and enjoy the pictures.

Sally Hansen Night Lights
Goodmorning ladies!
Todays polish is a sheer black with holographic micro glitter. And when I say sheer, I really mean sheer, haha. It needed to 4 coats. You could get away with 3 for a dark grey finish.
You all know I have trouble catching holo glitter on camera, and this one was nog exception unfortunately. But here are my pictures anyway.
In the sun this really sparkles! I like it!

Bad pictures, sorry, but an awesome color!
Hello dear readers!
Today I´ve got a polish that I just recently found out it even excists. How come I didn´t know? I mean, it is so me. Probably because no one has ever wrote about it. And while shooting pictures I know why no one posted about it.... It´s absolutely impossible to even get decent pictures, let alone awesome pictures. Well, I still wanted to write about it, because it really is awesome. It´s a medium blue with holographic glitter and string glitter. But in the pictures the glitter and string glitter seem to sink into the polish, grrr, hate that! Application was good as always with the Xtreme Wear polishes from Sally Hansen.
So here are the horrible pics of 2 coats of Sally Hansen Cosmic Blue
I even used my flash in an attempt to show its beauty, something I hardly ever do, but still no luck.
Ok, from my discription, what do you think? Doesn't it just sound awesome? Well, I can tell you, it really is!!
Have a great day!

Sally Hansen Burgundy Orchid
Hello!
How are you all doing?
Maybe you already discovered it, but I wanted to let you know that I made a page with all the webshops that ship international. This might come in handy for us European girls, but most of them ship within/to the US as well. So take a look, it´s on the top of my blog.
Today we've got another duochrome. Sally Hansen had these gorgeous prisms. Why did they discontinue these beauties? They are awesome! I've got quite a few, but still want 2 of them, but both really HTF unfortunately.
The one I'm showing you today is Burgundy Orchid. This one flashes from purple to magenta. Very nice! In my pictures it looks more like blue, but it really is purple.
I used 2 coats over 1 coat Nubar Noir.
What do you think? Isn't this just awesome?
What's your favorite Sally Hansen Prism?
Thanks for stopping by!

Sally Hansen Purple Potion + my new Del Sol arrived!!
Hi ladies!
Just recently I discovered they started selling Sally Hansen at Kruidvat, yay! Kruidvat is a drugstore here in the Netherlands that sells Catrice, Rimmel, Essence, Gosh and some other stuff. They already had treatments from SH before, but since a week or 2 they sell SH X-treme wear line. Not like a whole lot, I think I saw about 10 shades, of which 70% was red or pink. Bummer! But they also had Purple Potion, the one I´m showing you today. Looking at the price tag I thought I was getting a heart attack. Ok, ok, that was a bit exaggerated, but I was a bit shocked. The price is 8 euro! Can you believe it? I think these cost around 3 dollars in the US, so you can almost buy 4 of these babies in the US for the same price you can buy 1 here in the Netherlands. Not fair! Well, I did bring Purple Potion home anyway and I´m glad I did! Love that color. Purple with blue flash. Not that I don´t have anything like that, but this is different from others I have. Luckily.
This is 2 coats. Application was good, which I almost always experience with Xtreme Wear from Sally Hansen. Drying time was average.
Gorgeous and vivid purple!!
When I was wearing this the sun was actually shining and at that moment the mail man came with my Del Sol Trick or Treat. I didn´t want to take of Purple Potion right away, but I did know I had to take advantage of the sun, otherwise it might take a long time before I could show you Trick or Treat. Del Sol polishes change color in the sun, so awesome! Most of their shades are frosts, which I don´t really like, but this one is a glitter, yay!
So I removed the polish from my ring fingers and applied Trick or Treat (which was released last Halloween, which won´t be a surprise with a name like this). It is rather sheer, so it needed 3 coats.
Here it is inside
An orange jelly with holo glitter. Pretty cool! It´s actually not a true orange, more of an amber shade I guess.
Then I went outside for pictures, and this is what I saw
It turned into plum/purple. Beautiful! It´s a shame you can not really see the holo glitter, because with that effect it´s even more awesome.
After this I ran inside again to see how fast it changed. Here´s the result.
As you can see, it changes back pretty fast.
All together I have to say I love both polishes. Will absolutely do a full manicure with the Del Sol when we have more sun out.
Thanks for stopping by!

Milani Dot Com + a comparison
Hi ladies!
How are you all doing?
The first time I saw this polish at www.linnieke.com I was blown away. Unlike any other purple! Love at first sight, hahaha.
Application of Milani Dot Com is ok. Not perfect, but good to handle. It´s a very nice purple with lots of gold glitter. This does make the purple lean a bit towards brown.
This is 2 coats
Nice!!
But when I was looking at my nail wheels I saw a color that actually looked quite similar, so I decided to do a comparison. The other color used for this comparison is Sally Hansen Arabian Night.
Index and ring = Milani Dot Com 2 coats
Middle and pinkie = SH Arabian Night 2 coats
As I said reviewing SH Arabian Night a while back, it really is more of a blurple than a purple. The glitter is kind of similar in color, shape and quantity. But the differences are very obvious when you look at the pictures.
I don´t have a favorite, love both colors! Which one is your favorite from these two?
Thanks for stopping by!

Sally Hansen Cyber
Goodmorning!
Today I´ve got a polish for you that was a lemming for me for quite a long time. Ever since I saw the pictures from polish mayhem I was in love with this color. Have to say that the color is quite different from the swatches from polish mayhem, but it is still a lovely color! It´s a very bright purple with lighter purple shimmer if that makes sense.
I´m talking about Sally Hansen Cyber. Application was good too. I expected to need 3 coats at least, but with 2 it was completely opaque.
Here are the pictures.

Ok, I know, it doesn´t really pop of your screen, but in real life it really is bright! Love it!
Thanks for stopping by on this last day of the year 2010. Can you believe we´re only a few hours away from 2011? This year just went by so extremely fast. Unbelievable! Hope to see you all back here in 2011 :-)

Sally Hansen Lapis Amethyst
Hi ladies!
Wow, over 200 followers! Awesome! Thanks ladies!
Last week I made a comparison post with almost all my Sally Hansen Prisms (http://miranniesnails.blogspot.com/2010/11/warning-pic-heavy-comparison-between.html). But there´s one I had nothing to compare with, so I´m showing you this one now on its own.
When I was applying it I wasn´t all that impressed by it. It was kind of streaky and boring metallic ice blue. After I finished it I found out it is a duochrome. It shifts from ice blue to lilac and light green. Still streaky though, but that always happens with metallics, not much I can do about that.
Here´s 1 coat of Sally Hansen Lapis Amethyst 1 coat of Nubar Noir
I still don´t like how streaky it is, but the color shifts are pretty awesome!
Thanks for watching!
Don´t forget, only 15 hours left for my giveaway: http://miranniesnails.blogspot.com/2010/11/holiday-giveaway.html

Sally Hansen Flair + a comparison
Hello!
Today I wanted to show you something purple for a change :-P
I'm sorry but I have so many purples and love to wear them as well. The one I'm showing you today was actually more interesting in the bottle than on the nail. Still pretty though.
Can't say much about it, so let's just move on to the pictures.
This is 2 coats of Sally Hansen Flair in daylight.
Index = Sally Hansen Flair
Middle = New York Summer Poppie
Ring = Orly Velvet Rope
All of them 2 coats
I did this comparison a while ago and I'm shocked to see I used my right hand for a change, haha. And the colors are not that accurate, they turned out a little blue.
But as you can see, they are not dupes. Although the colors of the SH and Orly seem close, the Orly is really darker and it has silver microglitter. Poppie is just another shade, it's more of a red based purple.
All together I think I did a terrible job with this comparison (I've done better ones like the one I did recently with the Ozotics and Sally Hansen prisms), haha, but at least you can see they are different.
Thanks for watching!
