Royal navy, just gorgeous!

Doesn't it make you more happy when the sun shines? It sure helps for me!

Last night I filed my nails down. They were getting too long and growing the wrong way. And I like changes every once in a while. Used my buffer file as well and my nails look a lot better now!

I wanted to put a blue color on for days, but couldn't because I had to work. So today finally blue! I chose Orly Royal Navy. Just have to say I love it! It's way better than I expected it to be.
It's smooth, it's the perfect shade of blue and opaque in 2 coats (although for longer nails a third coat would probably be better because of the visible nail line). This is a jelly and in the bottle you see some turquoise glitter/shimmer but that doesn't show up on the nail. In this case I don't mind, because I love the color anyway.

The first 2 pictures were taken in daylight and the other 2 in artificial light. Seems like 2 different shades, but I like both of them!

Zoya Charla and Ivanka over black

Goodmorning!

Yesterday afternoon I wanted to try something. Had to take it of because I can't wear it to work, but really wanted to see what it looked like.

I did 1 coat of Nubar Noir and put Zoya Charla and Ivanka over it. Really liked the effect! This way the colors look a little less summer and a little more fall. Although I don't care about that, I always just use the polish that I like, not considering the time of the year or the weather or anything.

Index finger = 1 coat noir + 1 coat charla
Middle finger = 1 coat noir + 2 coats charla
Ring finger = 1 coat noir + 1 coat ivanka
Pinkie = 1 coat noir + 2 coats ivanka

Do you like these combinations? Have you layered Charla or Ivanka over something else? What was it and how did it look?

Glamourous but quite a few downsides

Are you all enjoying your weekend? Mine is very busy. But besides working on friday night and today, it has only been fun stuff! I am very tired now, but it´s almost tuesday and that´s the day my weekend starts.

A new NOTD for you today. It´s Koh Glamourous Purple. And there´s a lot to say about this polish. It´s purple and it´s duochrome so I totally love the color! Application was very good as well, like the brush. But in my opinion it has quite a lot of downsides too.
First of all the cap which is very narrow. So although the brush was really good, holding on to it wasn´t as easy as with most other brands.
Another downside was the opacity. It needed 4 coats! I´m not really a 4 coats kind of girl. But as long as I love the color I am willing to do this.
That brings us to downside number 3... drying time. The first 2 layers dried really quick, but after that it got worse and worse. Even after fast drying topcoat it took about an hour and a half to dry completely.
And last but definitely not least is the price. It costs 15 euro for only 10ml. And since it´s sheer, 10ml will be finished quickly.
To be quite honest I think there´s a better alternative for this color. Nubar Purple Beach. Cheaper, 15ml for around 8,50euro, opaque in 2 coats, better cap, dries quicker. So, all together I wasn´t really satisfied about this polish, but still love the color.

As you can see I didn´t do clean up before the picture, because I wanted to have advantage of the sun before it went away again. And excuse me for the horrible cuticles. As soon as it gets colder, my hands get really dry. I do moisturize, but I just have a terrible skin. Did order Nfu Oh cuticle remover last night, I hope this way my cuticles will look better soon.

A pretty jewel

Hello ladies!

For today I´ve got a very nice shade for you. It´s brown and has lots of holographic glitter. Very nice!! And work appropriate as long as the light doesn´t hit it, haha. Since there hasn´t been much light since wednesday (it has been raining non stop!) I could only make pictures in artificial light.

Ladies, I present you Nubar Jewel.

As always application was great! And only needed 2 coats. I tried to show you the holographic glitter in there as good possible.

Nubar night sparkle

Goodmorning!

Today I don´t have a NOTD since I didn´t have time last night to change my mani. So I´m showing you an old NOTD from last march. It´s Nubar night sparkle, which is a very very very pretty dark blue glitter. On top I stamped with China Glaze millennium and 2030 with bundlemonster plate 21.

Here´s the result.

Unfortunately it doesn´t show the sparkle in this picture, but the result was great in the sun!

The beauty from Australia

Today a polish from down under. Have you guys ever heard of Ozotic Pro nailpolish? It's just amazing! A few months ago on a lazy sunday morning at work I saw one of the Ozotics for the first time and I just couldn't believe what I was looking at. The best duochrome ever! Ozotic Pro actually calls these things multichromes, which I can totally understand. After doing some research I found out it was about impossible to get these babies to me. I found a few websites in Australia that sold them, but all of them stated that they didn't ship international. But I thought I just try it out. I paid with paypal, so if they really didn't want to ship international, I would get my money back. I tried this at two websites, one deposited my money back, but the other one actually shipped! The polishes are 10 australian dollars, that's about 7 euro. Don't remember how much shipping was, sorry. For regular polishes it's only 5 aud and holographic are 8 aud I believe.

Well, the one I'm showing you today is 502. You can see a lot of colors in it, yellow, red, orange, gold, bronze and pink. I usually don't like red, pink and orange at all, but because it flashes all kinds of colors, I love it. This is the only time you'll see me wearing these kind of colors, haha.

Hello everyone!


I showed you Sinful Colors Daddy´s Girl this morning. Although I like the color very much, I was in the mood for something more. At first I thought I´d do some konad, but since the base color of Daddy´s Girl reminded me of the base color of Nfu Oh 51, I thought it would be nice to put some flakies over it. Instead of using Gosh Rainbow to make it a complete dupe of Nfu Oh 51, I decided to put Nfu Oh 50 on top. Now it´s almost a dupe for Nfu Oh 52, hahaha. You can hardly see the basecolor is purple anymore. Well, I don´t mind, since I like 52 very much as well.

As you can see the falkies go from blue to green. Great combo!

Daddy´s Girl

Goodmorning on this sunny tuesday!

Today I´d like to show you Sinful Colors Daddy´s Girl. It´s a nice purple jelly with purple and pink glitter in it. I did 3 coats, since after 2 coats, there was still a little bit visible nail line. That´s quite normal with a jelly, but I rather have it opaque, so that´s why 3 coats. Drying time was just regular. I really like this shade. And also Sinful Colors, since they make very nice affordable colors. They only cost $2!! That´s about €1,60. The price is comparable to Essence, but better application, quality and much more variety in colors.

On to the pics (since I´m not feeling very well today, I had a hard time keeping the camera steady, I apologize)

Raspberry truffle

Hi you all!

Today I have a very nice brown shade for you from the Nubar chocolate collection. As I said before, Nubar is just the best polish for me if it comes to application. Hardly any clean up necesarry. I was going through my stash last night to find an untried that´s also work appropriate, couldn´t really find it, haha. But as long as my colleagues are allowed to walk around with deep red and bright pink nailpolish, I think I´m allowed to wear this pretty.
The formula was just great as well! Only needed 1 coat!

And here it is: Nubar Raspberry Truffle. A dark brown with cherry/red colored glitter.

To capture how great this is I could only make pictures in artificial light.

I love Space Cadet

Last night after work I raced home to try out Orly Space Cadet. And I have to say, it's amazing!! As all of you probably know by now, I'm a huge fan of duochromes. But this is a duochrome+. It also has a foil finish. How awesome is that?! It's not like any other I own, and I have a lot of duochromes, haha. Application was good, although I had to apply 3 coats to cover my visible nail line. But I don't mind as long as the color is gorgeous.

On to the pics.

Not a very good clean up, but I did this last night and it was too dark to see every mistake. This morning I made pictures right away since there was sun and I don't know how long the sun will last.

Again, the color is just stunning! It's purple, it's gold, it's green, even brown in some lights, it's just perfect!

Hello!!

I´d like to show you my recents hauls. I promissed myself not to order from transdesign.com anymore until the Orly Cosmix FX collection would come out. You can´t imagine how happy I was when that happened a month earlier than expected! The stupid thing was that I totally forgot to order Orly royal navy. How dumb is that! So when Carla from nailpolishfashion.nl sent an email that she had to stop selling Orly and was giving discount, I decided to order from her as well. And since it´s only 2 euro shipping up to 3 polishes, I made an order of 3 polishes, haha.

I have been doubting about the last one for a long time, but I think it´s great for layering.

I just put on Space Cadet and I love it! It´s so great! Tomorrow (or later today, since it´s already past midnight) I will show it to you.

Virtual violet

Good morning to you all!

Today I got a nice shade for you, which I really like. Have to say that I wasn´t really impressed by the formula, but after the first layer it got better. It is just a little thin. Application wasn´t very good, but that probably has to do with me being very tired after 2 early shifts at work, haha. (I almost always do my nails after diner, so this was also last night).

Now, the color. No idea what I should call it. In some lights it´s lavender/lilac in other light it´s a nice shade of blue. Love it!

Flakies + Glitter = just a little bit too much

Hi ladies!

Last night I didn't have time to do my nails, so today they are actually naked *SHOCK*. That's why I chose a NOTD of about a month ago. I thought flakies and glitter would be a nice combo. In the end I thought it was a little over the top.

I started of with Nubar Noir, which is a very beautiful and smooth black creme. I love the application of Nubar, hardly ever have to do clean up.

So after this I put on Gosh Rainbow and China Glaze Polar Ice. Here is the result.

I think I should have stopped after Gosh rainbow, haha.

Hopefully I have more time tonight to bring you a new NOTD.

Almost weekend for most of you, my weekend starts at tuesday, but that´s ok, I´m used to that.
