Nubar Gem + bonus pic

Goodmorning to you all!

Today I´ve got a polish for you that I have worn before, but I think I haven´t shown you this before. This polish in my opinion is pretty unique. It´s even quite difficult to discribe the color, but I´ll do my best. It´s sort of a light taupe with a pink flash/duochrome and packed with holo glitter. Awesome! Had a hard time photographing it, I made some pictures while I was in traffic jam (didn´t find any other time with daylight to make pics). Hope you´ll like them anyway.

This is 3 coats of Nubar Gem with tc.

Stunning, don´t you think? I do hate that I didn´t get better pics of this pretty.

And for the bonus: My daughter did an ombre mani with purple polishes with holo glitter.

Aw, my sweet love! Isn´t this just cute? I was sorting out my collection and while doing that my daughter went through all my polishes with me and decided to use all these shades.

Day 2: purple glitters

Goodmorning!

This is day 2. I have a lot of purple glitters and had not used a lot of them yet.

First up is Nina Ultra Pro Purple X-ing. A very nice medium blue-based purple. It has quite a lot of holographic glitter. This went on pretty smooth, no complaints. And needed 2 coats for full opacity.

1st in daylight, 2nd in artificial light. Its true color is between the first and second picture.

Next up is China Glaze Electric Lilac. It´s like the name says, Electric Lilac :P, lilac jelly with holographic glitter. This one is really chunky and application wasn´t smooth at all. I did want to show you this without any base color, but I think this would be better as a layer polish over a lilac cream polish like Nubar Lavender. I do like the color though.
3 coats for full coverage.
1st in artificial light, 2nd in daylight. This is a lot less blue actually.

The third one I´m showing you is H&M Hello Kitty Cool Summer. More of a red-based purple with pink, blue and silver microglitter. Application was a lot better than I expected, not bad at all! 2 coats for opacity.
both taken in daylight, pretty color accurate.

The fourth one is one that doesn´t really belong in this theme week. Its name is Sally Hansen Purple Fiesta, that´s why I took it out of the helmer, but in my opinion it´s more brownish or something than purple. Maybe you can call it eggplant purple. Application was ok, but not more than that. The glitter does seem to disappear in the polish. A bit chunky too. Do like it though. I used 2 coats.
1st in daylight, 2nd in artificial light.

I think I like the first one the most. What´s your favorite of these 4?

Tomorrow day 3. Hope you´ll be back to see that as well.

Take care,
Miranda

Claire´s Magic

Hi ladies!

I´ve got another polish from my swap with KarenD to show you. It´s purple and it has a gorgeous pink shimmer. It looks a bit like some other purples I already have (like Collistar viola glitter and Zoya mimi), but they have microglitter in it and this is really a shimmer.
And you´ll see my short nails for the first time. I think they don´t look to good on camera LOL. But next week this time they will be a lot longer again.

To give it just a little extra I did one accent nail. On my ringvinger I applied 2 coats of Nina Ultra Pro purple xing over Claire´s magic. I think Purple Xing looks a lot better on its own. It´s a purple with holographic glitter (which you hardly see in the pictures). I´ll show you that some other day.

So here´s the pretty Claire´s magic. It only needed one coat. Application wasn´t perfect, will add some thinner to it. Then it might need two coats, but that´s ok.
Three pictures in different light.

Isn´t this beautiful? I like it very much!! This won´t come as a surprise since I am a purple lover.

Take care,
Miranda

Another swap has arrived

Hello!

So I received another swap package yesterday. Another 9 polishes that were very difficult for me to get my hands on. But the lovely Erin got them for me. I wanted to share these pretties with you, so here is the picture.

Top row from left to right: Sally Hansen laser, Sally Hansen virtual violet, Nina Ultra Pro purple xing, Del Sol superhero, Del Sol rockstar
Bottom row from left to right: OPI holiday glow, Sinful daddy's girl, Sinful let's talk, Sinful deep red ocean

Some of you might have never heard of Del Sol. It's a company that makes stuff that changes color in the sun. The funny thing is I had a t-shirt from this company like 10 years ago. A few months ago I came across these polishes and wanted to have them right away. As soon as the sun comes out again, I will show you one of these.

I'll have a NOTD coming up for you as well, so stay tuned :-)

Bye bye!
