Hello!
Today the first of my holiday haul: Milani Blue Lightening. It definitely looks like OPI ds Magic (and its dupes). It has that same shade of blue and the slight purple duochrome. This does seem to have more glitter which makes it gorgeous in the sun.
Application was great! I didn´t bring any stuff with me on holiday to do a clean up, but with the small brush and great formula it was really easy to apply it almost perfect. And only 2 coats needed to make it opaque. I didn´t make nail pictures during my vacation, so the pics shown here are after 5 (maybe even 6) days of wear. And I must say: wow! I mean, yes, there is some tipwear, but still no chips at all.
I also tried some layering with another pretty I bought in Miami: Confetti Ice Ice Baby. It´s blue/green duochrome glitter. I should have known that doesn´t really come alive on blue polish...
Well, here are shots of that, but it´s not as awesome as I hoped. Probably on another color it would be awesome.
Another great thing about Blue Lightening: it doesn´t stain. Since I didn´t bring basecoat on my holiday I decided to paint my nails without. And with blue that´s a risk. But when I removed it after all those days, no smurf fingers. Maybe it´s my Zoya Remove+, because I haven´t had any staining since I started using that, but still.
Thanks for watching!

Holiday shopping, BIG TIME!
Hi ladies!
I´ve been home now for a few days and what an amazing holiday it was! I loved Miami, I loved the Bahamas and I loved the cruise ship. And of course I did "some" shopping. I´ve read about all these stores in the US that lots of you ladies visit frequently. For me it was awesome! Walking right into Ulta while up till then I had only read about it. And Walgreens, Forever21, CVS, Ross, Icing, Del Sol and more. Just seeing all these great brands that I love displayed right in front of me. Some stores I haven´t found unfortunately (like Sally´s, Target, Walmart, Rite Aid) but I did some big time hauling. I tried only picking the ones that I had on my wishlist but I failed miserably. Bought a total of 31 polishes and 2 of the newest Konad plates, ooooppsss!
So here we go, this is what I got.

So here we go, this is what I got.
Butter London No More Waity Kaitie + remover
Color Club Back To Boho set (yes, the cheap 8 dollar sets are really sold at Ross)
Boho Mojo, Nouveau Vintage, Voodoo You Do, Artsy Crafty, Blue-topia, Rebel Spirit
Icing: Chrome Navy Blue, Irish Gold, Epic Winning, Vampire Blood, Witches Brew, Starlight
Orly Fowl Play, Orly Nite Owl, Orly Out Of This World, Zoya Neeka, Zoya Yara, OPI It´s My Year, OPI ds Top Coat
Sinful Colors Let Me Go, Wet ´n Wild Back Alley Deals, Wet ´n Wild Teal Of Fortune, Piggy Polish The Right To Bare Feet, Milani Blue Lightening
Nicole Me + Blue, Sally Hansen Icequeen, L`oreal Owl´s Night, Confetti Ice Ice Baby, Love & Beauty Shimmering Grey
M84 and M85
Besides all these brands I´ve seen many more and mostly at places I didn´t expect them.
The Piggy Polish is unlabled, so I´m not sure it´s the right name... I actually found another one that looks a lot like it.
So what do you think ladies? Ready to see swatches? I´ve already used No More Waity Kaitie while I was on holiday. And OMG, the worst application ever!! Did I get a bad bottle or did you guys experience it too? I can´t even describe all the problems I had. I really hope some thinner would do the trick. I haven´t even made pictures of it.
I also used Blue Lightening, which I think is pretty close to OPI ds Magic. Will make a comparison some day. I did take pictures of this, so you´ll see that one soon.
Thanks for visiting!

Milani Dress Maker + Ozotic 92
Hi ladies!
A few days ago I received a package from Carli from Australia. We sent eachother a package full of surprises and it was fun!! Today I´m showing you 2 of the polishes that were in the box.
Milani Dress Maker is one of them. I´ve seen swatches a lot, but it never really stood out for me. But when I applied it, I really liked it! It´s mint green with a hidden shimmer. Of course the shimmer isn´t in my pictures, too hidden, haha.
This is 2 coats of Dress Maker
Although it looks really fresh and lovely, I really wanted more. It was a sunny day when I applied it, so I was in the mood for glitter and since Carli included a very nice Ozotic glitter I really wanted to try that right away too. Ozotic 92 is a multicolor microglitter, like it very much!!
Hmm, why didn´t these pictures turn out better? I mean, it was a sunny day and all. Oh well, I´m sure I´ll use this more often, so you will see it some other day with better pictures.
What do you think? Nice combo right? I like it!
Have a great weekend and thanks for visiting!

Milani Dot Com + a comparison
Hi ladies!
How are you all doing?
The first time I saw this polish at www.linnieke.com I was blown away. Unlike any other purple! Love at first sight, hahaha.
Application of Milani Dot Com is ok. Not perfect, but good to handle. It´s a very nice purple with lots of gold glitter. This does make the purple lean a bit towards brown.
This is 2 coats
Nice!!
But when I was looking at my nail wheels I saw a color that actually looked quite similar, so I decided to do a comparison. The other color used for this comparison is Sally Hansen Arabian Night.
Index and ring = Milani Dot Com 2 coats
Middle and pinkie = SH Arabian Night 2 coats
As I said reviewing SH Arabian Night a while back, it really is more of a blurple than a purple. The glitter is kind of similar in color, shape and quantity. But the differences are very obvious when you look at the pictures.
I don´t have a favorite, love both colors! Which one is your favorite from these two?
Thanks for stopping by!

An older Halloween polish plus a flakie/glitter mix
Goodmorning!
Today another one from my swatching session. I used Milani spellbinding as my base color. It´s from last years Halloween collection and still availbale at http://www.cherryculture.com/ (they ship internationally)
It´s a close dupe to ChG lubu heels, but the red glitter is a little more visible. Still not enough in my opinion. It´s not visible anymore as soon as there´s a distance of more than 1 meter. Why bother putting the glitter in it anyway... :P
This is what it looks like on it´s own, 2 coats.
As you can see I had a hard time capturing the flakies and glitter. Sorry.
Some of the Sinful ocean glitter/flakies are also still available on http://www.cherryculture.com/
This is a nice combination, but I´m not completely blown away by it. What do you think of this mani?
Thanks for stopping by!

Maybe it´s a good idea to enlarge the picture to find the glitter
After this I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors red ocean, which is a light red jelly base with glitter and flakies.
As you can see I had a hard time capturing the flakies and glitter. Sorry.

Purple glitter comparison
Goodmorning to you all!
Today I´ve got a nice comparison for you. Last monday I sorted out my complete stash. Swatched a lot and made comparisons to see if I had dupes. Didn´t even had that much dupes actually, but did find some colors that I didn´t like on the nail after all.
Todays comparison is about dark purple glitter polishes. My favorites! Well, next to duochromes, holographics and flakies ;-)
Well, these are definitely dupes!
On the left Milani totally cool and on the right is Collistar viola glitter. The only difference is that the Milani needed one coat more. I can´t have dupes in my stash, I already own more than enough polishes, so one of them has to go and of course I´ll keep the one that needs less coats.
Which of the above is your favorite? Do you like these kind of polishes as much as I do? I think I love them all!!
If you have any requests on comparisons, you can contact me. I like doing these, so just let me know.
Have a nice day!!

Thumb to pinkie: Sinful daddy´s girl, Sinful I love you, Zoya mimi, Collistar viola glitter, LA Girl groupie. None of them are dupes.
As you can see very clearly Sinful I love you is a completely different shade. As for the other 4, they all have different colors of glitter. Groupie has blue glitter, Viola glitter has pink glitter, Mimi has purple glitter and Daddy´s girl has pink and blue and is more of a jelly polish.
When I wanted to put all of these back in my Helmer I found another purple glitter polish. Didn´t want to do all of it all over again and can only show you 5 fingers at the time of course, haha. So I chose the polish that was closest to it and compared the 2 to each other.
The last picture is a little blurry to show you the glitter even better

Swapping is so much fun!
Hi guys!
It´s sunday already, that means that for some of you the weekend is almost over.
Today I want to show you all some swaps I did recently.
First up is my first huge international swap. The lovely Trista who I met at MUA was so kind to buy all the polishes I asked her to. How great is that!! All kinds of polish that are almost impossible to get when you don´t live the USA.
Here are the pictures of the package. Sit back and relax :P
I did some swapping before, but never as big as this one. Thanks again Trista for all the hard work you did for me. Hope you´ll receive my surprise package soon.
Yesterday I received my swap package from Cat, who I also met on MUA. Cat contacted me after reading how difficult it is to get some of the greatest polishes when you live in Europe. She told me she only had one wish: a polish of Koh. As most of you know, Koh is quite expensive. And unavailable if you live in the US. So we could help eachother. GREAT!! Cat was able to get the polishes I liked very cheap. In the end she got me 8 (!!) polishes for just 1 Koh. I feel so guilty, but she insisted doing this. So very very very nice of her!
Here are the pics.
Dear readers, what do you think, is this great or what? Hope I´ll be able to show them to you as soon as possible.
I hope you enjoyed reading this, since I had such a great time unwrapping the packages, so I thought it would be nice to share that with you.
Enjoy whatever is left of your weekend!!
Miranda

Looks very nice right! Almost like it´s your birhtday!
These are all the lovelies together
Left to right (all Milani): Purple outline, HD, Dot com, Totally cool
Left to right: Claire´s calm/wild, Chameleon blue sky, Sally Hansen garnet lapis, Massini purple medallion, Claire´s flirty/shy
Since I read it was 2 for 1 for the Sinful Colors at that moment, I asked Trista to get me some surprises as well. The 4 on the right is what she got me. Great!
Left to right (all Sinful Colors): Shausha, Nail junkie, Hottie, Gorgeous, I miss you
And the last picture is CQ mint green (never heard of that brand, was also a surprise from Trista, but not my kind of color), LA Girl alkaline blue and NYX graffiti (which was completely different from the swatches I saw at Lextard, but that´s ok, still nice)
Also she put some candy, a nice card and nailfiles which looks like matches in the box.
I did some swapping before, but never as big as this one. Thanks again Trista for all the hard work you did for me. Hope you´ll receive my surprise package soon.
