Jelly sandwich with BB Couture Dragon´s Breath

OMG! 2 weeks!?! I can´t believe it has been that long.

How are all of you doing?? Hope you are all doing well.

After lots and lots of stress everything seems to fall back in place. That doesn´t mean I won´t be busy anymore, because I will for at least another 10 months, but it´s a lot less stressfull.

Well, for today I have a nice jelly sandwich. I started with 2 coats of BB Couture Dragon´s Breath, then 1 coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Bluebell, 1 coat of China Glaze Snow Globe and another coat of Dragon´t Breath. I really think the combination is beautiful! I really love jelly sandwiches!

Look at all the colors that match so well together! Gorgeous!

I actually had another 2 swatches on my camera, but as soon as put them on my computer I saw they dramatically failed. So I have no idea when I will be back with another post again. Sorry.

BB Couture Bonnie

Hi ladies!

I´m a little (a lot) behind on my swatching. I just don´t have time and when I do have a bit of time, the weather is horrible, so making decent pics is impossible. Well, today I´m showing you my latest NOTD, although it was more like Nail Of The Week. I wore this for quite a few days. And only on day 3 it wasn´t too dark to shoot pics. So that´s why there´s quite some tipwear. I should wrap my tips, but I´m lazy, sorry.

Ok, on to this gorgeous polish. I love it! It´s a medium green jelly with green glitter. Sort of a lighter version of the well known China Glaze Emerald Sparkled. The formula is great, the color is stunning and it´s opaque in 2 coats and no staining. Ok, of course I did use a basecoat, but it´s not like some other greens that you get stained nails eventhough you´ve used bc.

Let´s have a look.

As you can see I had a little accident with a knife while slicing some vegitables. Oooops.

Anyway, what do you think? Isn´t Bonnie a beauty?

BB Couture Trim and Tassled

Hi there!

For today I`m showing you BB Couture Trim And Tassled. Oh man, what a gorgeous shade!!
It`s a bluetoned jelly purple base with lots of glitter. The glitter is mostly green and blue, but also some holographic glitter. It dried a bit matte, so you definitely do need topcoat. As if I would ever do a mani without, haha. Sometimes I swatch without topcoat, but never a full mani. And eventhough this is a glitter, it doesn`t eat the topcoat, so 1 coat is enough.

Since I nubbinized my nails again (man, they grow fast!) I only used 2 coats of the polish. With longer nails I think a third coat is a must. Drying time was fast!! By the time I was ready to use Fast Forward, it had already completely dried.

Sorry for the tipwear, I had been waiting 2 full days for the sun to come out and play so I could make nice sunny pics, but by the end of day 2 I had to remove because I had to work the next day. So I made pics under a lamp with tipwear...

Can anyone explain to me what Trim and Tassled means?? Some polishes have odd names, but most of the time I can figure out what it means, but with this one I'm clueless.

BB Couture Adam

Hi ladies!

How are you all doing?
Today I've got a polish for you that is pretty nice. But I must admit I was expecting a little more from this. BB Couture in my opinion makes the shimmers just a little less visible than how I like it. That's the exact reason why I was a little disappointed.

This is a nice brown shade with a red shimmer. In the sun you can definitely see it's there, but only in direct sunlight. Application was good as always with BB Couture! And totally opaque with 2 coats. Very nice!

Let's take a look at the pictures.

You see, it's not spactacular. Some might say it is, but not me.

No idea why the first picture got turned around :S I tried to fix it many times, but it did not want to cooperate with me.

BB Couture Pipe Bender

Goodmorning!!

BB Couture's Pipe Bender is a very pretty green shade with a very hard to capture blue flash. I really like it!! And it was really opaque too. Although I'm not completely sure if I used only 1 or maybe 2 coats, oops, sorry. Application on almost all my BB Coutures is very good. Very nice brand!

Hmm, it seems like my posts are getting shorter and shorter lately. Well, I guess people come to look at my blog mostly for the pictures right? And sometimes I feel like talking a lot and sometimes I'm just really quiet. And sometimes I'm just too busy, hahaha.

BB Couture Dragon's Breath

Hello!

Today I'm showing you Dragon's Breath. From Kim at Overall Beauty I heard it's becoming very rare. Only a few more left, but it was the last one at Overall Beauty.

This is truly a beautiful shade! And you can adjust the color by using different amount of layers to the color you like most. With 1 it's pink, with 2 magentha, and 3 coats for purple. In the sun it will stay sort of magentha. Look at the gorgeous jelly with glitter in blue purple and silver.

I used 3 coats and application was great. No problem at all!

BB Couture Balboa Beach Bunny

Finally, my last BB Couture, I hope you didn´t get bored of them yet. I actually love this color very much. It´s purple with multicolor and some holo glitter in it. NICE!! Application was smooth. I think BB Couture will be in my top 5 of best quality polishes. I used 2 coats for this pretty.

I´m sorry for the blurry pics, but I wanted to show you the glitter, so I didn´t really have a choice since I still don´t own a decent camera.

I wanted an accent finger with more glitttttteeeerrrr. For that I chose Pure Ice Cheatin´, but since it´s in the same color range, it doesn´t really show up as good as I expected. Maybe I should´ve done 2 coats instead of just one. Cheatin´ is a pink and blue glitter in a clear base. Well, have a look.

Cheatin´ is on my ring finger, can you tell?

Well, that´s it for today. Gorgeous purple! But aren´t they all :P

BB Couture Widow Maker

Hi ladies!

Today I´m showing you the polish that was missing in my order from overallbeauty.com. Kim imediately sent this too and so I´m able to show it to you now. Widow Maker is a soft grey with a golden shimmer. While applying, the golden shimmer was very visible and I was really like WOW! But when it dried and I put topcoat on, the shimmer was almost gone. No idea if it was the topcoat or that´s just what this polish does when it dries, but that was a bit of a disappointment.

Here are the pictures of 2 coats of BB Couture Widow Maker.

The first is artificial light, second in daylight.

Of course I couldn´t stand it that the golden shimmer was gone, but of course there´s an easy solution for that: CND Gold Sparkle.

And here is the result.

Yes, that´s a bit better, but I´m still not sure about this color...

BB Couture Eve

Hi ladies!


Another one coat wonder by BB Couture is what I´m showing you today. I just love it when a polish only needs one coat, especially when I´m tired or in a hurry. It also applies like butter and dries pretty quick.


BB Couture Eve is a very nice dark brown shade with bronze shimmer and green microglitter. Awesome!! Unfortunately it is hard to capture that on camera, but it is kind of visible when you click the pictures to enlarge.

You see how my cuticles finally start to look a little better now that it hasn´t been so cold in the last few weeks? Well, ok, not perfect, but they will probably never be, but at least not as horrible as a few weeks ago.

What do you think of this color? And don´t you just love a one coat wonder?

Lippmann Happy Birthday over BB Couture Napa Valley Red

Goodmorning ladies!

Last week I showed you Napa Valley Red by BB Couture. And I also told you I finally got some Lippmann polishes. So I thought it would be nice to use Lippmann Happy Birthday over Napa Valley Red. And it was an awesome combo!! I actually liked Happy Birthday more than I expected. Seeing swatches of it I thought the glitter might be a little too big for my liking. But it´s really not as huge as it seems on some pics.

This is only one coat over Napa Valley Red. I actually think you can wear this glitter on its own, but you do need around 3 coats, or 5 when you don´t want to see any nail anymore.

Happy Birthday is a multicolor glitter in different shapes and sizes. I really think it has the perfect name, it looks very festive!

BB Couture Opposites Attract

Hi ladies!

Here´s another one of the polishes I ordered at Overallbeauty during the sale. Looking at swatches I decided I needed this pretty one, since it´s a grey with silver microglitter. And micro it is. Invisible would be the right discription actually... I was so excited about this one in the bottle. And application was great! One coat, yay! And smooth. But where is the glitter?

Well, in the pictures you can see some if you do your best. But in real life I couldn´t see it. Looks like a plain grey creme. Which would have been ok if I did not have a grey creme yet, but of course I do... So, yes, I was dissapointed.

Is it me? Did I do something wrong that I did not get the glitter to show up?

BB Couture Napa Valley Red

Goodmorning!

Today I´ve got a polish for you that had been on my wishlist for quite some time. So when Overallbeauty had a sale I finally bought some BB Couture polishes and of course I could not forget this one. Napa Valley Red is a dark red jelly with glitter in it. Pretty! Although I wasn´t impressed by China Glaze Ruby Pumps, which is also a red jelly with glitter, this is very beautiful. I´m not a fan of red, but darker shades of red are much prettier in my opinion, so I do like some of them.

The application of BB Couture polishes is very nice! I had no trouble at all applying this one. Very smooth too. And opaque in just 2 coats, which is really good for a jelly.

Why oh why can´t you see the glitter better in my pictures? I´m sure it´s better when you click them. And of course I will show you this again when the sun decides to show up again.

I think this would be the perfect base color for Barielle Elle´s Spell, so I will try that someday as well.

Do you like this one? Or do you prefer another red glitter in jelly base polish? This really has more glitter visible in real life.

my first BB Couture!

Goodmorning!

Today I´ve got my very first BB Couture polish to show you. I got this in a swap with Cat. Up til the second I put it on my nails I had doubts about this color. Wasn´t sure what to think about it. But now I know the answer, it´s cool!! And I think it really suits me. It´s kind of a strange green color and in different angels you get different colors of green. Does this make sense?

Application was good, very good! It did need 3 coats for opacity, but I don´t mind, because it went on so smooth and dried rather fast.

Ok, well, on to the pictures.

What was actually pretty awesome too, was that the application was so good and smooth and the brush is so nice to work with, that I didn´t need any clean up.
