Comparison: purple polishes with gold shimmer

I love doing comparisons! I dislike having dupes though...
Today a comparison with quite a few purple polishes I found in my stash that have a gold shimmer in them. Well, before we start, let me say I´m really happy there are no dupes here. Pfew!

This is what I used:
Index --> Zoya Zara 3 coats
Middle --> NYX Golden Lavender 3 coats
Ring --> Pure Ice Purple Reign 2 coats
Pinkie --> Sephora by OPI Hell To The No 2 coats

As you can see is the NYX more pink than purple, eventhough it really looked purple in the bottle and at swatches I've seen of it. I love how visible the shimmer is in Zara. Somehow I keep forgetting how beautiful she is. And in my memory Hell To The No was much more sparkly. I still really like it though.
Luckily none of the colors look a like.

I've got another 2 purples with gold shimmer: Sally Hansen Arabian Night, which is more bluetoned and Milani Dot Com which is more eggplant, so those 2 didn't fit in this comparison, although they are purples with gold shimmer.

Finger Paints Art You Blue + sparkles

How are you all doing? Today I´ve got one of the Finger Paints polishes that Cat sent me. It´s a very special blue shade leaning a bit to grey. Love it. Application was really good and I really like the brush on Finger Paints.

This is 2 coats (and yes, it´s hard to capture its true color so after making pictures I only found one that was color accurate)

I really like this shade, but I wanted some sparkles as well, since the sun was shining (yay!)

A while ago I got some Pure Ice layering polishes. Here´s Spit Fire over Art You Blue

Spit Fire is a bit chunky, but it has some very nice holo glitter in it. Nice combo!

BB Couture Balboa Beach Bunny

Finally, my last BB Couture, I hope you didn´t get bored of them yet. I actually love this color very much. It´s purple with multicolor and some holo glitter in it. NICE!! Application was smooth. I think BB Couture will be in my top 5 of best quality polishes. I used 2 coats for this pretty.

I´m sorry for the blurry pics, but I wanted to show you the glitter, so I didn´t really have a choice since I still don´t own a decent camera.

I wanted an accent finger with more glitttttteeeerrrr. For that I chose Pure Ice Cheatin´, but since it´s in the same color range, it doesn´t really show up as good as I expected. Maybe I should´ve done 2 coats instead of just one. Cheatin´ is a pink and blue glitter in a clear base. Well, have a look.

Cheatin´ is on my ring finger, can you tell?

Well, that´s it for today. Gorgeous purple! But aren´t they all :P

Pure Ice Purple Reign

The polish I'm showing you today is one I recently received in a swap. Of course I got it in a swap since I can't buy Pure Ice here or anywhere online, haha. It is a dusty purple creme with copper glitter in it. Very pretty! And quite unique. I've never seen anything like it.

Application was smooth and it needed 2 coats for opacity.

Here are the pictures, 1 in daylight, 1 in artificial light.

Just a very very nice polish!! I don't have a lot to say about it.

Surprise!!

Hello ladies!

Last saturday I was really surprised. I got a small package from the mail man and had no clue what was in there. So I opened it really fast. My friend Trista (with whom I did a swap in july) surprised me with 2 very great polishes. She wrote that she saw these pretties and thought I might like them. Well, she is right!! So nice that she just wanted to surprise me!!

One of them was Nina Ultra Pro Purple Xing, which I totally love, but already have (well, she does know my taste :D). I will keep this as part of my giveaway for when I reach 50 followers. The other one is Pure Ice Busted, which I never heard about before, but looks totally cool in the bottle. So I went online right away to see swatches and found out it is quite sheer. Of course I was going through my stash to see what would be a nice match. I think it will look nice over black or a dark purple creme, but for now I chose a color with kind of the same base. Zoya Zara was the lucky one. I forgot how pretty this is, just gorgeous.

So first the pictures of Zoya Zara

It's a light purple polish with a very visible gold shimmer.

After this I used Pure Ice Busted

Unfortunately not enough sun to show you, but the gold shimmer is still visible, but now also a pink shimmer/micro glitter. Very very very nice combination!!
