Finger Paints Artist Sapphire + Sally Hansen Ice Queen

Hi there!

When I saw Sally Hansen Ice Queen it looked really interesting in the bottle. Silver glitter + blue hex glitter. Well, I actually underestimated it. It´s quite an awesome layering polish. Besides the silver glitter and blue hex glitter there´s also some holo glitter (not a lot, just a bit) and pink hex glitter.
Now I only needed something to layer it over. So I went through my spreadsheet and saw Finger Paints Artist Sapphire was still untried. I must admit that I wasn´t sure it was untried or I just forgot to mark it as tried. Oh well, who cares :P It´s a nice dark blue.

Application of Artist Sapphire is really nice because of the small brush. And I only needed 1 coat. It did take a little longer than average to dry, but that´s ok.
Ice Queen has a really nice formula for a glitter! I used 2 coats of that. And it´s not gritty like many other glitter polishes.

Pictures!

What do you think of this combo?

I was a bit afraid it would look like China Glaze Lorelei´s Tiara which I have on the way, but after using it I´m quite sure it isn´t. What I´ve seen from Lorelei´s Tiara is that it is a glitter which fully covers the nail, while Ice Queen is definitely only for layering.

Finger Paints Icy Iris + Golden Rose 02

Hello ladies!

Today I´ve got a combo that I´m pretty thrilled about. I´ve shown both of them before, but together they are even more awesome.

My base color is Finger Paints Icy Iris which is a very dark purple with crazy shimmer. It glows! I used 2 coats and application was easy. For the flakies I used Golden Rose 02, which is my favorite clear base flakie. Why? Well, because this has something that Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, Gosh Rainbow, Nubar 2010 don´t have, blue. So it has the gold/yellow/green/orange/red multichrome flakies AND blue flakies. Awesome!

So here are my pics.

I really love this. How about you? Aren't flakies the best way of spicing up a mani? Especially this one.

Enjoy your day!

Finger Paints Holly Good Times

Hello!

Today I've got a Finger Paints polish for you from the last holiday collection. It's called Holly Good Times. I really really really like it!! It's a red and gold glitter in a clear base and quite opaque, only 2 coats needed.

After a day of wear I wanted to spice it up and used China Glaze Polar Ice on top. And I have to say it's a combination which is really festive. And you can still see the gold and red glitter through it. Unfortunately I didn't make any pics of it. Very stupid...

Well, just enjoy the look of this gorgeous holiday glitter in June, haha.

Finger Paints Icy Iris

Goodmorning ladies!

Today I'm showing you a very gorgeous purple polish. I wanted this for quite some time now and Cat got it for me. Thanks swap-pal ;-)

Icy Iris is dark but lights up from within. GORGEOUS!! Look at it glow!

I used 2 coats and the application was pretty good.

There should be a webshop that sells Finger Paints internationally, I really like FP!

Have a great day!

Finger Paints Hue Rang + flakies

Hi guys!

Remember I showed you Hue Rang a few days ago? Well, you know I almost always try to do something extra with a polish with a topcoat when I just don´t have to time to change my entire mani. So my good pal Gosh Rainbow had to do the trick once again.

Here are the pictures of 1 coat Hue Rang and 1 coat Rainbow.

I really like the combo of the purple/lavender shade and the rainbow flakies! This will be on re-run this summer :-)

Finger Paints Hue Rang

Hi ladies!

Todays polish was an extra in my last swap with Cat. At first I wasn´t all to sure about it. But it really is a very nice shade! It is a light purple with a hint of lavender. And another advantage, I don´t have anything like it. Application was great and a lot more opaque than I expected. I was ready to apply 3 coats, but it only needed 1. The brush on FP is really good!

Pictures!

Do you have any Finger Paints? And maybe you know a color which I should really try to get?

I really hope my transdesign order will come in today so I can start the giveaway I promised you.

Have a great day!

Comparison between 2 green jelly´s with glitter

Goodmorning!

Another monday, damn, time flies. Today I´m showing you the comparison I promised last week.

When applying Finger Paints Mistletoe Mischief it reminded me a lot of China Glaze Emerald Sparkle. So of course I wanted to put them side by side on my nails. I used 3 coats for each of them. I think Mistletoe Mischief is a little more jelly and that makes it less opaque. Application was fine on both of them.

Let´s have a look at the pictures.

Middle and pinkie = Emerald Sparkle
Index and ring = Mistletoe Mischief

A 4th coat on Mistletoe Mischief would have probably made them dupes. But now you do see some difference, mainly in opacity. The colors are pretty much the same and the glitter too. I think Emerald Sparkle will stay my favorite because it´s more opaque. Less is more, haha.

Maybe you ladies can help me out. I´m looking for a green with holo glitter. Something like ChG Atlantis, but more and darker green. Any of you have an idea? Especially for something easy to find. Funky Fingers Blitzen is very nice (and on my wishlist) but hard to find for me since I live in the Netherlands. And I would like something darker than Blitzen. So maybe like Emerald Sparkle, but with holo glitter. I don´t mind if it´s chunky glitter or small glitter. Or maybe someone likes to franken something like that??? :D

Have a nice day!

Finger Paints Mistletoe Mischief

Hi ladies!

A green jelly for you today. I love those! But looking at it, it was quite close to China Glaze Emerald Sparkle. Will make a comparison soon.

Finger Paints Mistletoe Mischief is very nice green jelly with silver glitter. The first layer was really thin and in went straight into my cuticles. But from the second layer on the application was fine.

This is 3 coats.

Beautiful!! Really jelly, yummie :-)

Have a nice day!

Finger Paints Art You Blue + sparkles

Goodmorning!

How are you all doing? Today I´ve got one of the Finger Paints polishes that Cat sent me. It´s a very special blue shade leaning a bit to grey. Love it. Application was really good and I really like the brush on Finger Paints.

This is 2 coats (and yes, it´s hard to capture its true color so after making pictures I only found one that was color accurate)

I really like this shade, but I wanted some sparkles as well, since the sun was shining (yay!)

A while ago I got some Pure Ice layering polishes. Here´s Spit Fire over Art You Blue

Spit Fire is a bit chunky, but it has some very nice holo glitter in it. Nice combo!

Finger Paints Easel-y Entertained

Happy New Year to all of you wonderful ladies!!

Today I´ve got my mani from yesterday for you. And it´s awesome!! It´s my very first Finger Paints and I totally love it!
It´s dark blue with lots and lots of blue, purple and silver glitter. Wow! So pretty!

Downside... application wasn´t all that good. After the first coat you think you want to remove it right away. You really have to work with thick coats and wait between layers until it´s dry (does dry pretty quick, so don´t worry) I never do this actually, I´m a very impatient person (my translation of VIP haha) but I had no choice. Another downside that actually surprised me was that it dried matte. How´s that even possible with so many glitter in it?

But if you take the time and use topcoat you´ll be blown away. Of course my pictures don´t do it justice, so you just have to trust me when I say it´s a must have :-)

This is 3 coats with topcoat

Since this is my first FP polish I would love to know your opinions on this brand. Do all of them have trouble with the application?
