Hi ladies!
Today one of my very few Catrice polishes. This is the one that is a close dupe for Chanel Peridot. And a cheap one too! Only 2,50 euro. It is a bit darker a bit more streaky, but other than that pretty close.
I used 2 coats. Application wasn´t awesome, but not too bad either.
It flashes all these great colors like Peridot: copper, gold, green.
Yes, it´s a nice substitute for the way too expensive Peridot.
Thanks for stopping by!

Catrice Petit Four As Dessert
Hi ladies!
In my attempt of finding a light taupe or khaki polish that matches my skintone perfectly, I ended up buying my very first nude. Can you believe it? Everytime I look at my hands it just looks kind of strange. Not ugly I guess, just strange.
Catrice has this nude line and I thought if I just bought the darkest in that collection it could be the one for me in terms of a perfect light taupe/khaki color. Well, I'm still not sure yet. I'm still thinking of Orly Country Club Khaki or Nubar Sandstone, but they might just not be what I'm looking for. When I see swatches they look so different on everyone. If it's just the cameras they use or it has to do with their skintone, I have no idea. And then again, is their skintone like mine, hmm, it looks lighter, no this one is definitely darker. Well, these are the kind of thoughts that go through my mind when I look for swatches of the Orly and Nubar. You see why I haven't ordered one of them yet? Well, that's why I decided to try the cheap Catrice first.
Application was actually better than I expected. Although it was a bit sheer, so I had to use 3 coats.
Excuse the horrible cuticles, brrr... Most of the time they look quite bad, but this is just... yikes! In terms of moisturizing nothing really works.
One pic in the sun and one in the shade so you can see how it looks on my skintone.
So ladies, what do you think? Is this perfect for my skintone? Would Country Club Khaki look good on me? Or do you have any other suggestions? Please let me know.
Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by!

Catrice Dirty Berry
Goodmorning!
Today I´m showing you a Catrice polish. Catrice is a brand that is widely available here in the Netherlands. And still I´ve only got 2 of them. No you wonder why of course. Well... let´s see... a lot of you will probably not agree with me on this one, but I don´t find their colors very special. Every once in a while I take a look in stores to see all the colors. The ones that do appeal to me, are colors that are very similar to stuff I already own.
The one I picked up recently and I´m showing you today is a color I actually bought for a friend. While buying it I decided it was actually pretty awesome. In the bottle Dirty Berry looked like a dusty lilac/purple, but on my nails it looks more like lavender. I think that has to do with skin tone. It´s probably more lilac when you have a darker skin tone.
The special surprise in this one is that the silver shimmer turns out to be a very very very subtle holo. Unfortunately it wasn´t sunny enough the day I wore this to show up in the pictures.
Application was ok. Not bad, not extremely good either. The brush is a little short, but nothing unmanagable. Opacity was good, just 2 coats needed.
Do you own a lot of Catrice? And did you just buy them because they are cheap? Or did you buy them because you adore the colors?
Thanks for watching and enjoy your day!

Catrice Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans + CND Sapphire Sparkle
Hello ladies!
So I found out part of the Catrice collection will just not be available soon anymore. Since I´ve been looking at Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans for ages and still couldn´t decide wether I need it or not, I thought this was the time to buy it.
Hip Queens is a dusty blue creme with blue glitter. Well, the glitter isn´t all that visible unfortunately. Maybe because the formula is pretty thick, or just because it wasn´t meant to show, the hidden shimmer effect again (I DON`T like that effect).
Well, here are 2 pics of Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans (2 coats)
If you enlarge the picture you will be able to see a very little bit of blue glitter.
But since I don´t like hidden shimmer I decided to layer CND Sapphire Sparkle on top. Which was way cooler than I thought! It´s a duochrome shimmer, yay!!
A lot better! You see how it shifts from blue to purple? Really beautiful! CND effects are great, you can spice up every single polish you own.
I´ve read about new collections from Catrice and Essence with some nice duochromes, but haven´t seen them here yet at all. Hopefully they´ll get here soon, I´m really curious to see them for myself :-)
Thanks for watching!
