Hi ladies!
I did this mani a while ago and I totally forgot about it. Why? I mean, it really is an awesome combo!
The base is Orly Cashmere Cardigan. One of the few cremes that I actually love. I used 1 coat and that was enough, except in sunlight... So if I´ll ever use this combo again I should definitely use 2 coats.
On top I used 1 coat of Color Club Jingle Jangle, which is a lilac, blue, teal and silver glitter. Very nice!
You see, there are some bold spots in direct sunlight unfortunately. Well, I do still love the combo. What do you think?
Enjoy your day!

Color Club Rebel Spirit
Good day!
Todays polish... what can I say. I feel exactly like I felt with Voodoo You Do. Don´t love, don´t hate, but it´s just not special.
Rebel Spirit is a dark brown creme, which covers very well with 2 coats. Not much to say about it. Maybe you love it, maybe you share my opinion or maybe you just totally hate it.
This is almost it for the Back To Boho Collection. Only Nouveau Vintage is left. I know, one is missing, Boho Mojo. But after the first coat, I decided no one was really waiting to see this color on screen. Yuk, it´s ugly! Strange color, horrible finish, brrr. So I´m not showing you that.
Thanks for watching!

Catrice Petit Four As Dessert
Hi ladies!
In my attempt of finding a light taupe or khaki polish that matches my skintone perfectly, I ended up buying my very first nude. Can you believe it? Everytime I look at my hands it just looks kind of strange. Not ugly I guess, just strange.
Catrice has this nude line and I thought if I just bought the darkest in that collection it could be the one for me in terms of a perfect light taupe/khaki color. Well, I'm still not sure yet. I'm still thinking of Orly Country Club Khaki or Nubar Sandstone, but they might just not be what I'm looking for. When I see swatches they look so different on everyone. If it's just the cameras they use or it has to do with their skintone, I have no idea. And then again, is their skintone like mine, hmm, it looks lighter, no this one is definitely darker. Well, these are the kind of thoughts that go through my mind when I look for swatches of the Orly and Nubar. You see why I haven't ordered one of them yet? Well, that's why I decided to try the cheap Catrice first.
Application was actually better than I expected. Although it was a bit sheer, so I had to use 3 coats.
Excuse the horrible cuticles, brrr... Most of the time they look quite bad, but this is just... yikes! In terms of moisturizing nothing really works.
One pic in the sun and one in the shade so you can see how it looks on my skintone.
So ladies, what do you think? Is this perfect for my skintone? Would Country Club Khaki look good on me? Or do you have any other suggestions? Please let me know.
Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by!

piCture pOlish blog fest: Cowboy
Goodmorning on this kind of special day!
Two months ago the ladies from Picture Polish sent out an email asking who wanted to enter their Blog Fest. Meaning: lots of blogs posting Picture Polish shades on the same day. The polishes were provided by them for free. Which is extremely kind!! I decided it would be fun to participate. Of course they got lots of emails, but I was lucky to be chosen to represent the Netherlands :-)
The shade I received was Cowboy. It's a very nice taupe creme. Maybe you can even call it almost milk chocolate. Very work appropriate, which is a good thing, because I don't have a lot I can wear to work, haha.
I totally liked the brush and the application. Flawless and smooth. And it was opaque in just one coat. How great is that?! Always a good thing! What usually happens with me and 1 coat cremes, is that it somehow starts to crackle (yes, almost like shatter polish) when I apply topcoat, but no such thing happened. Another plus!!
There was a downside though. The polish chipped within a few hours. That's not something I'm used to. Since I received this polish for free and didn't want to be impolite, but at the same time I really want to be honest to my readers. So I contacted the ladies from Picture Polish and explained them my dilemma. They totally understood that I didn't want to lie and told me to write whatever I want to write about it. And they also explained that Picture Polish is supposed to be a 2 coat system. I was supposed to try that before this Blog Fest, but I just didn't have time. So eventhough it's opaque in just 1 coat, you should just use 2 to avoid chipping.
And if you are wondering if this shade is pretty on other skin tones too, I can tell you it definitely is. I tried it on 2 nails of my daughter, her skin is a few tones darker than mine, and it looked even more beautiful. Since she really hated the color, she wouldn't even let me take a picture of it, hahaha. But I can imagine that. She's a kid, she just wants bright colors.
Enjoy the pics and enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by!
one more thing: if you know any other blogs that participate in this blog fest, please leave me a comment :-)

Nubar Lavender
Hi ladies!
Todays polish is my NOTD from last monday. Nubar Lavender is a light lilac creme. Can you believe that I actually wore a pastel creme for a whole day without adding glitter, flakies or any other sort of shimmer on top? Well, it is true. I was actually in the mood for something soft. And this totally screams spring too.
Application was great! 1 thick coat and a topcoat and that´s it. The brush is also perfect, I didn´t need any clean up. Love Nubar!
Somehow you do see quite some flaws in the pictures. I hadn´t noticed them irl at all. Well, you just have to believe me on that one :-)

Teeez week day 2: Outta Control 05
Goodmorning!
After the introduction yesterday this will be the first day of swatches. I decided to start with Outta Control. I've actually shown you an Outta Control before, but that one was totally different, it was holo. The one I'm showing you today is a purple creme with some glitter in it. In the sun it really shines, in the shade you can hardly see it. But I wouldn't call it a hidden shimmer, since it is a lot more visible in any light than Catrice Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans or Chanel Paradoxal.
This is 2 coats and the application was good.
Do you like this one? I definitely do.
Thanks for stopping by!

$OPI mini bottles, can anyone identify them please?
Hello ladies!
Hopefully you´ll be able to help me out. Recently I received two mini bottles of Sephora by OPI, but I have no idea which ones they are, so maybe one of you ladies can tell me.
Bottle pic
The purple is a creme. Very nice shade! I used 2 coats.
The green one is a metallic. Pretty awesome! I especially like it in artificial light (maybe sunlight too, but there wasn´t any). This is also 2 coats.
This one might be Leaf Him At The Alter, but I´m not sure.
So if anyone recognizes one of the shades, please tell me their names.

BB Couture Opposites Attract
Hi ladies!
Here´s another one of the polishes I ordered at Overallbeauty during the sale. Looking at swatches I decided I needed this pretty one, since it´s a grey with silver microglitter. And micro it is. Invisible would be the right discription actually... I was so excited about this one in the bottle. And application was great! One coat, yay! And smooth. But where is the glitter?
Well, in the pictures you can see some if you do your best. But in real life I couldn´t see it. Looks like a plain grey creme. Which would have been ok if I did not have a grey creme yet, but of course I do... So, yes, I was dissapointed.
Here are the pics of BB Couture Opposites Attract where you do see a little of the microglitter.
The first picture is most color accurate.
Is it me? Did I do something wrong that I did not get the glitter to show up?
Thanks for stopping by!

Pure Ice Purple Reign
Goodmorning!
The polish I'm showing you today is one I recently received in a swap. Of course I got it in a swap since I can't buy Pure Ice here or anywhere online, haha. It is a dusty purple creme with copper glitter in it. Very pretty! And quite unique. I've never seen anything like it.
Application was smooth and it needed 2 coats for opacity.
Here are the pictures, 1 in daylight, 1 in artificial light.
Just a very very nice polish!! I don't have a lot to say about it.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my pictures!

Barielle Falling Star
Hi!!
How are you all doing today? Can you believe it´s already the first of december? I can´t, it´s just all going so fast.
Today I´ve got my very first Barielle polish to show you. I got this recently together with Elle´s Spell. I have to say that they are both really gorgeous!!
The one I´m showing you here is Falling Star. This a medium blue creme with orange glitter. This is truly unique! Haven´t seen anything like this before. But I do think it´s pretty easy to franken this. Take a blue creme like Essie Mesmerize or Illamasqua Force and put orange glitter in it.
Since it wasn´t a sunny day when I wore this, it was really really hard to take a good picture. I shot about 50 pics and only found 1 good enough to make it to my blog.
This is 3 coats with SV (which I´m always a little scared to use because sometimes it gives shrinkage, but I was lucky this time).
I think in sunshine the glitter will really light up more, but I like it anyway. And quality is really good! I had this on for almost 3 days without any tipwear! Can you believe it? I have tipwear within 12 hours normally.
Do you have any recs for other Barielle shades that I should really get?
Thanks!

CND Ice Blue Shimmer over OPI Funky Dunkey
Hi!
Just a shortie today.
I was going through my spreadsheet and found out I still hadn´t used CND Ice Blue Shimmer. How could that be? So of course it had to be used right away. Still no idea what to combine it with, the only thing I knew was that it had to be a creme. Since I don´t have a lot of cremes (maybe 12 or so) the choice wasn´t that hard. I decided to go for OPI Funky Dunkey. Love that color!
Here are the pictures
I like the result, hope you like it too!
Tomorrow I've got something very special for you, so make sure you don't miss it.

Pastel Skittles
Hello!
Last week I did my first skittle manicure. In spring we saw a lot of these manicures in pastel colors, but since the sun was shining I was in the mood for something happy, colorful and just like spring, so I made pastel skittles in autumn, haha.
Here´s the picture
Thumb: Models Own Peach Sherbet (3 coats)
Index: Models Own Lemon Meringue (3 coats)
Middle: OPI Hey! Get in Lime! (3 coats)
Ring: Orly Snowcone (2 coats)
Pinkie: Nubar Lavender (1 coat)
I actually bought the Peach Sherbet only to do a skittle mani, there´s no way I could ever wear a color like this on its own, and still in the skittle I don´t really like, haha. Actually, I don´t think I´m a pastel girl at all! Although I do like the colors, but they are just not me or something.
Well, it did turn out lovely! Very sweet! But probably more a combination that I will use on my daughter. But it was definitely nice to have some spring in autumn.
Bye ladies!

2 swatches for my 2 months anniversary: Massini & Nfu Oh
Hi ladies!
And the bonus for today is Nfu Oh 53. This is a polish that is mostly used for layering. Since I think the color in the bottle is just so awesome, I wanted to show you this pretty on its own. It is a jelly which is very sheer, so I used 4 coats. Application was good though.
Beautiful, isn´t it?! Why layer this beauty while it´s so gorgeous on its own?
Well, that´s it for today. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again tomorrow.
Take care,
Miranda
Today is my 2 month blogging anniversary. And I love doing this! Although I don´t have a lot of followers yet, I do want to thank you ladies for reading my blog!!
Since the last few days it has been mostly dark colors that I´ve showed you and since we have something to celebrate, I thought it would be good to show you something more fun today. And because of the anniversary I´m showing you two of my recent swatches. I did both of them last friday.
First up is Massini Fast Play, 2 coats over 1 coat of Nubar Lavender (lavender/lilac creme). Fast Play is hard to describe. It´s not really a flakie, but also not really a glitter. But it is FUN!
The flakie/glitter is gold duochrome. It´s awesome! I got this in a swap with KarenD. I found this 2 weeks ago or something when I was looking for more Massini polishes since I think they are awesome. At first I had no clue what it was called, but the ladies on MUA helped me out.

Chanel Paradoxal
Hi ladies!
Today I´ve got my very first Chanel to show you. After seeing lots of swatches I knew I just had to have this one. My wallet is crying, but for once it just didn´t bother me.
So on wednesday night I used this polish. When applying I already noticed it was a lot darker than I expected it to be. And I didn´t see the purple shimmer at all. But I was sure I would see it in daylight, no doubt about it. And I was wrong... you hardly ever see the purple shimmer... That´s a huge disappointment for me. Now it´s just kind of a brown creme, not even taupe. It´s too dark to be a taupe in my opinion. Not all that impressive. I have thought of a sollution for that, I will show you that somewhere this weekend. So make sure you don´t miss it.
But for now I can only show you the pictures of Chanel Paradoxal by itself. I tried my best to catch some of the purple shimmer. Application was good, and it´s 2 coats on the pictures.

What do you think of Paradoxal? Is it just that some people can make great pictures? Do you own it yourself? And do you think it was worth the money?
Make sure to visit me this weekend to see what I came up with to make this as pretty as I expected it to be.
Have a great day!

Nailpolish the cheap way
Hi ladies!
A new week so I thought I´d try something different. After showing you all these expensive brands, it´s now time for something cheap and affordable for everyone. I used a turquoise creme by H&M and it´s called Bella´s choice. Application was not that good, it really needs some thinner, but it was opaque in 1 coat, just as I like my cremes.
I would never ever wear this color alone, it just isn´t me. Glitter or flakies? Both!! I used Essence Glisten Up. Only 1,29 euro! It´s a light blue base with glitter and flakies. Very nice!
Unfortunately my camera had a hard time capturing the flakies and glitter.
What do you think of this combination? Instead of using an expensive OPI creme and an expensive Nfu Oh flakie, I used these cheap polishes and the result is still nice. Although I´m still a bigger fan of more expensive brands, haha.
Have a great week and thanks for watching!

Color Club Pucci-licious
Hi ladies!
The color I´m showing you is so gorgeous! I put it on last wednesday night and didn´t realise it would be to bright for work, so had to take it of when I noticed it on thursday morning at 4:30. So I only wore it for like 10 hours unfortunately.
It´s purple and it´s creme and it´s bright and it´s actually neon. NEON! I don´t even like neons, haha, but I love this.

Jade is the new Black with Nfu Oh 55
Goodmorning!
About a week and a half ago I found out that www.viis.ee had a sale. And since Nfu Oh is quite expensive normally I had to use this chance to get some nail polishes from my wishlist. They make the best flakies!!
Since I have horrible cuticles I just really needed to try the cuticle remover they have.
Yesterday morning the package arrived and the first thing I did was use the cuticle remover. And I have to say that even after using it just once I already see a huge improvement.
So my total order was: 38, 39, 53, 55 and 2x cuticle remover.
Of course I wanted to try out one of the new Nfu Oh´s right away. I noticed 53 and 55 are too sheer to use without any base color. Since I recently received OPI jade is the new black in a swap, I decided to use that as a base and put Nfu Oh 55 over it.
First up is the picture of JITNB on its own
And here it is with 2 coats of Nfu Oh 55 on top of it.

The flakies are orange/gold, very nice!
Do you like Nfu Oh? And what do you think, don´t my cuticles look a lot better already?
I really like the combination, but I´m not quite sure if I´m a green person yet...
Thanks for stopping by!

OPI Funky Dunkey plus OPI Sand-erella
Goodmorning!!
Finally there has been some sun the last few days, so I just couldn't wait to put on a good holo. I've tried Sand-erella before, but it is quite sheer, so decided layering would be a good idea. And it was! GORGEOUS! Well, that's my opinion, haha. Hope you'll like it too.
Sand-erella is actually a quite old polish, I think from the summer collection of 2006. So if you'd like to get it, you can search eBay for it. Maybe you're lucky and get a good deal.
Hope you enjoyed this one as much as I did.
Have a great weekend!

I used one coat of Funky Dunkey
And after that (it dried amazingly fast!) I put one coat of Sand-erella over it.
It actually flashes to pink and blue sometimes!
(click pics to enlarge, this one is absolutely worth it)
To show you how much better this is than without the Funky Dunkey, here's the picture I shot when I wore this a few monts ago. Although this is very nice as well. This is 3 coats.
