Chelsea Tropic of Cancer

First I want to start by appologizing for not answering or commenting on reactions from you ladies lately. I have been sooo busy, I´m really sorry. I hope to find some time anytime soon to reply to your comments. Do know that everything you leave in the comment box is appreciated and I read every single one of them.

Todays polish is another duochrome. I know I know, you´re getting sick of it. But I just like them so much! This one reminded me of Nubar Peacock Feathers, but I can´t compare them since I sold or swapped it. What was I thinking? Well, this is close enough and I really don´t need anymore dupes in my stash.

Chelsea Tropic of Cancer is purple with green and blue. Always nice to have your 3 favorite colors combined in one polish!

Application was ok, no troubles. And it needed 2 coats.

Nubar Purple Beach and Chelsea Kaleidoscope

A new week and I´ve got some nice things to show. First of all I´ll start this week with a comparison. Every once in a while I´ll go through my stash to see if I don´t have dupes or colors that are to similar to keep. When I used Chelsea Kaleidoscope a while back it really reminded me of Nubar Purple Beach. And although I didn´t think they would be that close, I thought it was worth doing a comparison.

Well, I was wrong. I have to admit that I´m not even sure which one is the Nubar and which one is the Chelsea. They are not dupes, but they are very very very close! I think middle and pinkie is Nubar Purple Beach and index and ring is Chelsea Kaleidoscope. Both 3 coats. You might not even see the difference in the picture, but the purple in Kaleidoscope is just a little more blue than the purple in Purple Beach.

So I´ve decided one has to go. I mean, I don´t need backups, since I don´t ever see myself finishing a whole bottle of nail polish anyway. Now I have to decide which one has to go, I think it´s going to be the Chelsea, although both apply very well!

Yes, it really is hard to keep my stash below 200... Especially when I secretely have around 40 in my swap drawer, but they really do have to go!! I might put them up for sale on eBay or marketplace all at once. If any of my dear readers is interested, just let me know.

Chelsea Kaleidoscope

A few weeks ago I did a comparisson with my purple duochromes. None of them were dupes actually. But the one I was wearing yesterday is very close to Nubar purple beach. I´ll make a comparison of  these 2 soon.
And since it flashes all kinds of colors, I´ve got a lot of pictures for you. Main colors are purple and green, but you can also see bronze/copper and brown.

I took pictures in all sorts of light: sun, shade, lamp.
Application was good and totally opaque in 2 coats. No complaints about drying time. This is just the cheaper version of Nubar Purple Beach (I think) and that´s always a good thing, since I love that one.

I actually also have a request. I´ve been looking for Aurelia polishes for quite some time now. They make awesome duochromes!! And just recently I found out they are from Russia. There is a webshop, but that one also only ships within Russia. So if any of my readers is from Russia, please let me know, I would love to do a swap, or just pay for whatever you can get for me.

Well, that´s it for now. I will try to do some swatching today, but I´m not sure if I will have enough time.

Random duochromes

Hello!!

On this friday I have some random duochrome spam for you. A lot of unknown brands to my dutch readers.
I did these swatches last monday when I was sorting my stash as well.
Don´t have a lot to tell you about these, the pictures speak for themselves.

The 3 in the middle I really like a lot!! The other 2 I didn´t like very much, so they moved to my swap drawer in my helmer. I hope to get my hands on a few more Toma polishes in the future, they´ve made some awesome duochromes!

Swapping is so much fun!

It´s sunday already, that means that for some of you the weekend is almost over.

Today I want to show you all some swaps I did recently.
First up is my first huge international swap. The lovely Trista who I met at MUA was so kind to buy all the polishes I asked her to. How great is that!! All kinds of polish that are almost impossible to get when you don´t live the USA.

Since I read it was 2 for 1 for the Sinful Colors at that moment, I asked Trista to get me some surprises as well. The 4 on the right is what she got me. Great!

And the last picture is CQ mint green (never heard of that brand, was also a surprise from Trista, but not my kind of color), LA Girl alkaline blue and NYX graffiti (which was completely different from the swatches I saw at Lextard, but that´s ok, still nice)

Also she put some candy, a nice card and nailfiles which looks like matches in the box.

I did some swapping before, but never as big as this one. Thanks again Trista for all the hard work you did for me. Hope you´ll receive my surprise package soon.

Yesterday I received my swap package from Cat, who I also met on MUA. Cat contacted me after reading how difficult it is to get some of the greatest polishes when you live in Europe. She told me she only had one wish: a polish of Koh. As most of you know, Koh is quite expensive. And unavailable if you live in the US. So we could help eachother. GREAT!! Cat was able to get the polishes I liked very cheap. In the end she got me 8 (!!) polishes for just 1 Koh. I feel so guilty, but she insisted doing this. So very very very nice of her!
