Bloom Bianca + stamping

Hi there!

Today a quick one. 2 weeks ago I showed you Bloom Bianca and today it´s back with a konad on top. I used China Glaze Cherish and plate BM-201.

I like how these colors combine. And I love this pattern! You will be seeing this again on my blog, I´m sure.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bloom Bianca

Hello all!

Today I´m showing you Bloom Bianca. I think I´ve shown you this before. Very pretty color! It´s a blue kind of green with a gold shimmer in some lights. I´ve heard this is similar to NYX Jungle, but I think Jungle has more gold, so I might have to get that some day.

This is 2 coats. It went on smooth and easy. Drying time was average.

The gold flash of course was impossible to capture. But I guess you have to trust me on that one.

Bloom is an australian brand, so you might have to arrange a swap for it if you really want this.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Bloom Mena

Goodmorning!

Happy Valentine´s Day! I don´t have a Valentine´s mani, but I figured you would see enough of them on other blogs today ;-)

I know I´ve shown you this polish before in a comparison, but never on its own. The idea of this polish is pretty awesome, black with holographic glitter. In direct light (and I don´t mean just regular daylight) you can see the holo glitter, but without that you only see a plain black polish. The good thing is that it is opaque in just one coat. But I´m not sure if this is a keeper.

Here are the pictures taken very close to a lamp.

I do think Blogger makes the pictures a bit dull. When I was editting the pics the holo glitter was a lot more visible and now you can hardly see it at all.

Enjoy your day!

Bloom Zooey

Hello!

Today I´m showing you something else after 3 days of BB Couture. I still have 2 more to go. One is still on the way and the other one I will show soon. But today I´ve got Bloom Zooey for you. Australian polishes rock! This one I got as sort of an extra in a swap and I really like it. I think it´s very close to the silver glitter Milani recently released.

Zooey is a darker silver in I guess some sort of a grey base. Since there is so many glitter in it, I can´t even see the base color. I do know it´s not straight up silver, it´s more between charcoal and silver, but it is very shiny and actually covered in one coat. But to be sure I used an extra coat. It was dark when I applied it and didn´t want to see any surprises the next morning. Bloom is a very nice brand, smooth and all.

Here are the pictures

Why do I have lobster hands in the first picture?
Second picture I did a blurry shot to show how glittery it is.
Do you like it? I think it´s pretty awesome!

Well, that it´s for today. Thanks for watching!

Comparison dark holo shades

Goodmorning ladies!

Last night I went to a concert of Shakira. My daughter has been a fan since she was 3 years old. My sister learned her how to dance like Shakira when she was 5 or something. I promissed her that whenever Shakira would come to the Netherlands and she would be big enough, we would go.
Together with my sister the three of us had a great time. My daughter was pretty impressed by everything going on. And of course by Shakira. It was great to see her enjoying everything!!

Well, on to nail polish. Today I´ve got a comparison for you. I´ve read that people say that Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm and Color Club Revvvolution are very close. Since I recently got Chainmail Charm in a swap I thought it would be nice to make a comparison. Another dark holo I received in another swap is Bloom Mena, so I used that too in the comparison.

Index and pinkie = 2 coats of Color Club Revvvolution
Middle = 2 coats of Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm
Ring = 1 coat of Bloom Mena

As you can see non of them are dupes. Not even close actually. Revvvolution is charcoal, Chainmail Charm is dark brown and Mena is black. They don´t really seem that holo in the pictures, but they are just not like OPI Desinger Series or China Glaze Kaleidoscopes. The least amount of holo you see in Mena, but maybe I can franken it a little with some China Glaze OMG in it. I´m not sure yet. The other 2 I like very much and I´m happy they are not dupes!

Which of these 3 is your favorite?

Have a great day!

Day 6: two dark purples

Hello!

Day 6 already. Although I showed you 2 dark purple Zoya´s 2 days ago, I do have more dark purples for you. As you might have figured out by now, purple is my favorite color. And especially dark purples. Besides the ones I´ve been showing you this week, I have like another 30 of them. Maybe it´s a bit too much, hahaha. But I love each and everyone of them. And they are all different. I have sorted out my dupes already, so no dupes now anymore.

First up is Bloom Josephine. In my pictures you can hardly tell it´s purple... but it actually is. It´s a blue-based purple and you mostly see blue in my pictures :S. It went on pretty smooth and it needed 2 coats.

1st 2 pics in artificial light to show you some purple, third pic in daylight

Next up is China Glaze Let´s Groove. It leans more towards a red-purple than the Bloom, but still is blue-based. Does that make any sense? It is less blue than the pictures show though. Pretty smooth! And opaque in 1 coat.
both taken in daylight

Well, that´s it for today.

You´ll probably get tired of me by now, but I just wanted to remind you of the giveaway: http://miranniesnails.blogspot.com/2010/10/giveaway-special-date-and-just-50.html

Bloom Bianca

Hi ladies,

how are you all doing today? I´m tired since it´s my second early shift. That means I got op at 3:30 this morning. While writing that down I can only think: that´s insane! Some people say you get used to it, but after 8 years I honestly say that´s not true. Maybe for others, but not for me. I did get used to my body feeling exhausted though.

Let´s move on to what you came here for. My nails! Today I have my NOTD from last wednesday to show you. It´s Bloom Bianca. Very smooth application and opaque in 2 coats. I´m not sure if this color suits me, but I do like the shade very much! It´s green with some gold flashes and a bit of blue.

Picture time!

I got it in a swap with Elizabeth. Thank you Elizabeth!

And I have a question. What do you guys think of a theme week? So 1 week where I would daily post something around 1 theme. And what theme should I do? My favorite polishes? All purples? Holos? Duochromes? Or 1 week of my favorite brand? Or any brand in particular that you´d like to see? Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Thanks for stopping by and "see" you soon!

Take care,
Miranda

My first attempt with a Bloom nail polish... and it was good!

Good morning ladies!

It´s monday again. And I don´t like mondays. Of course I could tell you now why I don´t like mondays, but I assume you´re here for my latest creation in nail fashion :P

When I got home after work last saturday night I could finally use one of the polishes Elizabeth sent me. I chose Bloom Jessica Mauboy II because I wasn´t sure what I was going to put on top of it. Since with this color I could use konad or layer a nice Ozotic, I would have a choice.

Bloom JM2 is a very nice dark green shade. It applied like a dream and totally opaque in just one coat. I love that! I didn´t apply any topcoat because it dried so quickly. But I should have done that, since there were already a lot of scratches and some tipwear the next morning. My mistake!

So when I woke up sunday morning, there wasn´t any sun. And since I need sun to show all the good sides of an Ozotic polish, I decided to not layer, but use Konad. I used my favorite imageplate M57 with China Glaze Adore, which is perfect for stamping.

In the bottles there´s not a huge difference in color, Adore is just a bit lighter, but at the same time you can see how well they match together.

I apologize for the horrible pictures! When there´s no sun, somehow it´s impossible to make steady shots. Yesterday I tried my camera again and still don´t get it to work how it should. My cell phone has much better quality, eventhough it´s still not as good as I want it to be. Someday I´ll buy a super camera and then I will finally show you quality pictures :D

Well, I have to say my first attempt with a Bloom polish was a success! Love the formula! Can´t wait to try the other 2.

I´m wishing you all a great week! Thanks for watching!

Australian pretties

Hello

Yesterday my swap package from Elizabeth finally arrived. Not that it took that long, but I´m very impacient and was really excited about what I was getting, so it seemed like forever to arrive at my doorstep, haha.

All Australian pretties!! Wow! I love them!

From left to right: Bloom jessica mauboy II, Bloom josephine, Bloom bianca, Ozotic 504, Ozotic 505, Ozotic 510

And now I can almost hear you thinking: that´s a PINK holo, she doesn´t like pink...
Well, that´s true, but it gorgeous layered over a blue, purple or black, maybe even dark green.

Elizabeth also sent me a Revlon polish dat is very light lilac with gold shimmer/duochrome. I´m not completely sure it´s my color, but I´ll have to try it first.

Thank you so much Elizabeth!! The Blooms and Ozotics are absolutely stunning!
