Another Japanese OPI

Goodmorning!

Since today is my first working day after my vacation, I had to use a more work appropriate color. I have to say that the one I put on is probably not work appropriate enough, haha, but I noticed that after I put it on.

This is OPI ds Shimmer jp (the japanese version). It´s completely different from the US version, which is kind of a silver holo. This one is light brown/peach/gold (I can´t really decide what color it is, haha, but it leans more to gold) It has lots more holo than I expected. It´s gorgeous! Here are the pics in different lighting.

Do you like it? I think it´s great! Not the best pictures, but maybe if I can catch some sun later, I can add some nice pictures that show how awesome this is.

Hi ladies

 How are you all doing? I´m a little sad today, since it´s the last day of my vacation. That means that tomorrow morning my alarm clock will go of again at 4:20 and friday even at 3:20, the horror! This also means that I probably won´t be able anymore to update my blog daily.


On to my NOTD. It´s P2 Rebel. I saw this on DeltaCephei´s blog (www.deltacephei.nl) last week and loved it right away. So when Linnie from www.linnieke.com went to Germany last friday and asked me if I needed anything I asked her for Rebel. Thanks Linnie!
Yesterday it arrived at my home and I decided to try it on right away. Gorgeous shade of blurple (blue/purple)!! Application was a lot better than what I expected from a 1,55 euro nailpolish. The smell was horrible, but it could be that it was just one of these rare occasions that my nose was working the way it should. I hardly ever smell anything.


Of course I had trouble capturing the purple in this, sorry again. I´ve chosen 3 pictures in different light. The first is daylight, the second is daylight with flash, the third one was taken in a dark spot in my home also with flash.

I´m going shopping with my mom, she always asks my help when she needs new jeans, haha.

Moodpolish

Goodmorning!

Today I´m showing you Claire´s moodpolish peaceful/confident. A moodpolish doesn´t really react on your mood, but it does react on temperature.
I´ve got 4 moodpolishes, here you see them in a quick swatch I made about 6 weeks ago.

Left to right: calm/wild, flirty/shy, peaceful/confident, happy/earthy

all topped with SV

Since I had not used a moodpolish as a full mani I thought why not now? So I chose peaceful/confident which is green. Drying time was amazing! But it did dry matte and very streaky. Also the formula wasn´t my cup of tea. A little too thick. So maybe I should put some thinner in it.

Of course I put a topcoat over it, since I always do that and I don´t really like matte finish either.

 

As you can see, my tips are darker than the rest. That´s because the part of the nail that is attached to your skin is obviously warmer and so you can see the effect of the moodpolish.

Since my hands are almost always cold, the effect wasn´t that visible with me, so I used a nice glitter on top. Here it is with Sinful Colors Nail Junkie. It is very subtle, but gives it just a little bit extra.

Blue and purple, my favorite colors!

Hello ladies!

Last night I decided to finally use China Glaze Tempest. It´s blue with a slight duochrome to purple. Since I knew it is quite sheer, I used H&M Fashionista as a base.

Here´s one coat of Fashionista, which is actually much more purple. I hate it when the camera doesn´t cooperate with me.

So after that I used one coat of ChG Tempest. This is what that looked like.

Now you´re thinking, slight duochrome? Don´t see any duochrome at all!

I can tell you, it´s not my bad pictures, I couldn´t see the duochrome either. I mean it´s a nice blue shade, but no duochrome. So I decided to put Sally Hansen Garnet Lapis on top of this. Now I´m completely satisfied!

Now that´s what I call duochrome! Awesome! Purple and blue together, my 2 favorite colors.

I'm tagged again, yeey! This time it was by the lady that runs the blog www.ooohshinies.blogspot.com (I'm sorry, but somehow I don't remember your name, shame on me!)

The funny thing is that a few of these questions are the same as I sent to Linnie earlier this week. I will do my best to answer them.

1. Have you ever felt so disappointed by a nail polish that you wanted to throw it out of the window? And why?

Well, in the beginning I didn't know anything about nailpolish and nailart and all. A lady sold me some Konad when I was in the USA 2 years ago. When I got home, I just went to a drugstore to get more polishes to stamp with. Of course I chose the cheapest ones, haha. And they just didn't work at all! Those were Essence polishes. Later I tried to use them as regular nailpolish but still didn't like them. So yes, I threw them away. Not out of the window, just in the trashcan.


2. What´s your top 3 in favorite nail polishes?
I knew when I asked this question at Linnie it would be difficult. But now I have to choose, oops! Just 3? This is hard! I'll make a top 5. Well, ok, in no particular order and I will change every week:

 3. What´s your favorite online-store?
Transdesign.com because of their great prices! Nailpolishfashion.nl for their great service!
For clothes? I think Bijenkorf.nl (only when they have sale :P) but I order from a lot of webshops all around the world.


4. Is there anything you´d like to share with us that you haven´t told before?
I just love rythmic gymnastics! I used to do this great sport myself and since almost 2 years my daughter is addicted too.


5. What's your favorite song at the moment?
I listen to music on the radio only actually. And always forget what the songs are called, hahaha. I do love that song by Jason Mraz - I'm yours. I know it's not a new song anymore, but me and my daughter love to sing along with that one very loud when we're in the car.
