Hello!
Last saturday I showed you the comparison of Sugarplum Yum and Merryberry Mauve. I was actually surprised to see how much I loved Sugarplum Yum on its own. Somehow it did end up with a remark in my list that I had tried it before, although I don't remember that. So after doing the comparison I decided Sugarplum Yum was going to be my NOTD. Unfortunately it became my Nail Of The Hour... After finishing my nails, I looked at the clock and remembered I had to go some where. And you all know what happens when you put on your shoes while your nails have not completely dried yet... So I ruined my total mani. And that's how my NOTD became my NOTH.
But I was lucky, because I did make pictures just before I remembered I had to go.
Sugarplum Yum is a lavender blue shade with a very strong pink duochrome. If you don't have stained nails like I do and you don't mind a visible nail line, you can also wear this with just one coat, the polish is beautiful enough to do that.
This is 3 coats.
The last picture is taken from a different angle to make sure you can see that sometimes this polish is completely pink too.
Well, what do you think? You like this color? What I also like about this one is that it's an old OPI, so it doesn't have that giant brush which OPI has nowadays.
Enjoy your day!
Very nice color! Love the duochrome!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI kinda like the pro-wide brush though... it gives better coverage. But then again I'm a chunky polisher :P
Thanks SQ!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI use very thick layers of polish as well, but I don´t have steady hands at all. So with the pro-wide brush it almost always gets messy.
It's so pretty! As for the OPI brush: wide brushes are fine, but I think they should cut the bristles in a more rounded shape than squarish. That would make the application much easier and cleaner (but maybe that's just me :o) ).
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGorgeous color! Too bad it got messed up :(
